    Your work is beautiful. But the reason for my comment is your voice. You have the most calming and soothing voice ever! I wish I had had this video 20 years ago when I had babies. I would have played your videos to help them settle down for a nap. 😊

    Some of the best tutorials for wrapping on the internet. I love minimalist design and wraps that let the stone shine thru. I how ever also prefer the look of silver on all stones. You make everything look very easy kinda like a calculus math teacher. I still haven't got the hang of any weaving except a Viking weave. I guess I'm gonna have to break down and buy flat and half round to ever be able to get it right. Much love from a newer 50 yo. Stone lover, wire wrapper from the South. O btw just in case anyone else reads this. I found that stainless steel works much better as far as a tiny guage wire goes 26-28 it's strengths make it better than copper or silver and because of it's size it's fairly easy to work and it doesn't break like the softer copper or silver. I found this out without buying any wire since I had some stainless left from years past when I wrapped my own sub ohm vape coils from stainless steel wire in 26ga. Hope this tip may help others. I had broken many pieces of plated copper when trying to twist it tight in a small guage. Stainless holds up to twisting much better. Of course it would probably be much harder to manipulate in a higher guage but in the smaller stuff stainless is all I will use from now on.

    It's a whole lot cheaper to buy wire by the pound at Rio Grande than it is to buy wire at the craft store and it's a high quality product. I am just a regular nobody and they sell to me. Thank you so much by the way, for telling us about them. God bless!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes definitely, I just recommend the craft wire if someone is trying wire wrapping for the first time to see if this is something they'd want to do more, and if it is then the 1lb spools from Rio are the best deal because you get so much wire.

    Rio Grande does sell smaller quantities sterling and gold. They are not wholesale only. The copper they sell is in larger quantities.

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I always buy those more expensive metals a little bit at a time, since I don't work with them as often as copper. Although people have been telling me the gold specifically is not available unless you are a business and provide the necessary documents to Rio. I provided all that to them long ago, so I didn't even realise that the gold was only available to me due to that.

      4 inches? That's really large, I'm not sure I've ever made such a large pendant. One easy option would be to use one of those glue on bails or to drill a hole and use a pinch bail

      I tried repurposing a couple of your concepts, by wrapping the corners, and by doing a 3-strand with little wraps at the sides and pulling the outside wires to the back and front, but I defer to your expertise. I'm also going to try with a larger wire for a simple wrap.

    Hey oxana do you know if oil does anything to preserve labradorite

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the oil is used when it is transported to prevent the stones from getting damaged, so whenever there are batches of stones they are usually transported in oil to sort of create a buffer when they touch each other.

      you can use round, just use a thin gauge like 26 or 28 and do a weaving pattern with it instead of just wrapping it around and around so it will be less likely to unravel
