I've heard the RWS Superdome is a good pellet for the HW99.

Pellet testing is part of the fun. AA Field, JSB Exact, H&N Field Target Trophy, Bisley Long Range Gold, Webley Mosquito, RWS Superdome, any of these are worth trying. I've had good results with JSB Match, RWS Super H Point and RWS Meisterkugeln in .22cal

Yes!! When you try several pellets you'll know when you come across the right one for your barrel!!!
It's a world of difference when you finally find a great pellet! Basically the same goes for PCP air rifles.
Cheap pellets normally don't do well, but sometimes more expensive ones won't do well, so it's just a matter of finding the right one, and remember that the diablo shape pellets normally work best :-)
Oh, you'll grow to love that rifle, especially when you see what it can do at 30-50 yards!!!
    Take care!! :-)

With my Feinwirkbau .22 127, It was ME!...Also I put the Breech block to chamber Hinge Bolt Back in with Belleville washer and shim and Put the Chamber in a Lead-Lined Vice and gave light pressure to make jaws of gun paralell. Then tightenned pivot bolt after Moly Grease! and expanter locking screw on other side FIRMLY!...NO? Despite my poor aim I have a better more consistent "Accuracy"! My excuse? I.m 77 and a novice!...LA5 Warton Lancs.

@@GordonBird thanks for the comment buddy, my new 99s that I had for my Birthday a few months ago seems abit more accurate, than this video gun I had 4 yrs ago , thanks Shane

@@shaneweightman Cheers Shane. My Fienwerkbau is about 40 years old. It had Barrel Droop. By rectifying this It and my accuracy went AWOL! I grouped on a five pound NOTE!.Of course...One can accostom to a droopy barrel because Fore site and rear site both sit on the barrel. The FWB droop was visibly drooping! Wow! Today at 25 yards with Fixed sights it could group in an inch circle Standing ,no rest!GB

My hw99 seems to have a mind of its own ! Lucky to get an inch group at 12 metres and thats with correct hold , breathing technique and utilising follow through ( JWS exact diablo 177 ) What adds insult to injury is that it seems to have a different point of impact every other day 🧐 Maybe its time for a new hobby - flower arranging maybe lol

Sounds like scope issue or inadequate mounts, try hawke match or sportsmatch 1 piece mount, with arrester pin lowered into hole on cylinder. Scope that you can trust mounted but not over tightened. I bought torque screwdriver to do up rings to 1.8nm. If there is little or no wind, and consistent hold, p.o.i shouldn't be changing. Group size normally comes down to how steady you can hold it, I have good days and bad days. 3/4 inch group at 30m is a fairly good day. Also check pivot scre on breech block hasn't come loose. Randomly though 1 day it seemed to not like its preferred pellet any more, currently using jsb rs in .177
