Ha ha your intro, we were going to do the cable with me running behind but we didn't get time, but great minds!! You should get a water filter tap like ours in the van just in case of an apocalypse lol!, heck out our video on it. Hangers who knew .... that's one to remember and its amazing how many tea towels you need to stop those rattles, loved the video 👍🏼. x Mark and Debs xx
Well done for not forgetting a child so far!! I think having something quick and tasty to eat is a great idea. I get food anxiety too! We all know the dart of terror 😂😂😂 we still forget a door somewhere. So annoying! X
Good tips here. We had a hob glass top cover that stopped the rattling, and I placed the silicone ‘tubes’ on the sides of the oven racks to stop them rattling…… Electric cable? Kim will never let me forget that we didn’t take it on one trip, due to the previous trip not requiring one! Like yourself, I didn’t want to take what we didn’t need, lesson learned, leave the electric cable in the van 🤦🏻♂️. Great video, and thanks for sharing. Andy and Kim.
I recently purchased a Berkefeld water filter for the van. Not sure how useful it’s going to be over filling a plastic drinking water 5l bottle but we shall see. Main thing I have developed is an airline type pilots’ check list to remember everything, from the external pilots’ walkaround (incl power cable detached, bike rack secure, TV aerial and roof vents down etc) to internal checks on cupboards, fridge door, blinds, sat nav etc. Could be quite fun to do this as a family- “cabin crew, arm doors and crosscheck”…
As a retired airline pilot this rings true with me “Cabin crew seats for departure”. Checklist should be “challenge and response” as in: Hook up cable…Stowed! Bike Rack………..Secure! etc
Hi guys I’ve used window and door draught excludes on all my kitchen doors and works a treat It is only a couple of mm and is sticky on one side. Also we use a non slide mat and you can get a 500x1000mm of eBay and cut it with scissors, cheap as chips. I even take the microwave dish out that a lot of people don’t Good blog and take care
i always forget to de-rattle , so now just leave tea towels on the hob lid!! in my old van i did forget to put the shower gel away and when i got to the campsite had shower gel everywhere
We enjoyed that and in the short year we have had a van we’ve ticked every one of them except the kids. Ours are in their 30s and do their own thing ! 😂
Interesting to hear the things others get wrong or do to avoid them going wrong. Useful tips! Thank you.
Cheers Sam
The beginning of this video was hilarious, had me in fits of uncontrollable laughter.
We thought it was good fun too, glad it made you laugh! 😄
Batteries do seem to have a mind of their own on occasions , interesting Vlog guys thanks for sharing Helen and Martin.
This turned out to be a PSU failure which we had to replace
Great de-rattling tip! Sorry you lost an elephant they looked cute 😊
Hopefully the remaining three can survive!

Cheers guys! We also have the silicone tubes on the shelves, I should have remembered that!
@@2.4inaVan we saw them on the front, they’re great for rattles and to stop burns aren’t they.

Love that idea 😃 I'll have a think about how we can split it into four!

Indeed! See th-cam.com/video/iUD55KscxsA/w-d-xo.html from about 4:32 for how this might work.

Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds like you're having just as fun an adventure as we are!
one check prior to getting on the ferry to France --ensure the wife is booked on --not just me n the dog ---ooops
Haha, yes, write that on the tick list! Presume she was able to travel with you?
Hehehe Sometimes it would be good to forget the kids but unfortunately it’s against the law LOL
Such a shame!
