Still cutting my acre after buying new in 2004. These are rock solid with normal maintenance.

Glad to hear that. This one is still working good, knock on wood. We bought a snowblower that will attach to it. Hopefully I can make some videos of it this winter

Picked up one of these a couple years ago with 300 hrs and blown head gasket for cheap. Installed new head gasket and a few other parts Its been running perfect in my small yard now has 367 hrs. after three years. I have COPD and too tight to pay someone else to mow It's paid for it's self couple times over.

I'm glad it's working out well for you. Apart from the old motor, this Cub Cadet has been a seriously reliable machine. It is now pushing 830 hours

I'll go look for it here in a little bit. If I can't find it, you could try googling "Cub Cadet LT1018 serial number", and maybe find something

I looked underneath the seat of the mower, and there should be a sticker with some information on it. On the right of the sticker, it says "Serial Number: 1F044H20612000002"
      Underneath, it said "1F044H20612"

Yeah, I've seen your video of it before. This had the same exact engine yours had, but we pulled it off because it basically shit the bed.

@@motormouth2472 As of June 2023 I heard someting and won't run and December 2023 after taking all apart. The Counter weight pins and connecters broke off. The engine still had oil. No holes in the block. Intake push rod bent. Crankshaft where the counter weight goes on each side wroup. The camshaft hole cracked. Cam itself with the decompression spring no damages with about 350 ish of engine hours. Got with 220 hours from High School Industral Arts teacher for free 10yrs ago since he ran out of room at his home or so. Worth the 130hrs I used it. Hopefully I'll get a new engine like yours or a 19HP. It just the mounting plate on the new engines has to be exact size to line up to bolt on.

@@bigjohnrailproductions8370 that's not good. And you can find brand new 17.5 Inteks for relatively cheap, our replacement one costed around $500, but it was purchased 4 years ago

@@motormouth2472 So I measure the output and its the same setting in the 19HP and 17.5 HP briggs. I'm thinking I could go for the 17.5hp. The last thing is does the mounting holes to bolt on the frame match like the 18.5HP for 17.5hp?

@@bigjohnrailproductions8370 I do believe they match. When we got the replacement engine, I don't recall it being very difficult to install. But if I were you, I would try to find the opinions of others as well just to confirm
