Be aware some of the 2.4l Multiair engine covers also have a 10mm bolt that holds the cover down. The bolt is on the right side of the engine towards the rear of the cover. You will break the cover at the corner if the bolt is not removed.

Do you have a video of the VVAA being re-installed? Chrysler said I need a special 10259B compressor tool for removal and reinstallation or it’ll be damaged.
Hell of work just to change the gasket... Is it even possible without taking the enginge out? I can imagine it is super tight if not impossible to remove / mount the timing chain cover properly...
I’m currently doing the job where I work at jeep, you don’t need to remove the engine. However you do need to remove one of the mounts so that you can slide the engine forward to gain access to the bolts holding the air intake onto the vehicle. It’s a huge job. Pays about 11 hours of work.

There is no bolt holding the engine cover on, it just pops off as he showed in the video

You dont need a tool you can use a screwdriver to compress the hydraulic rams and then slide the rockers into place.

is this the same as jeep patriot 2007
95% similar, throttle body is on the lower half of the engine on the Patriot. That’s the only difference I noticed.
