    Love the discussion about not taking too much time when choosing Dice. I also wish those that talk about Dice Setting would mention the fact that if you add up the opposite sides of a die, it equals 7. You can typically see 3 sides of a die, so knowing where the number you are looking for should be very apparent. I see so many people flipping dice over and over to find the number they are looking for and that is very painful!

    7:22 I called that "weighing the dice". I started doing that in Atlantic City, NJ at Caesar Palace during the USA beauty pageant. I might have been the 1st person to start that trend. I was presented with 5 dice: I picked up all 5 dice and just dropped them on the table - they all landed on a 6. I laughed; I asked if I could get 5 more dice? They said: NO. I dropped the 5 dice again; they landed on all 6's again. I left the table and Caesar's entirely. Everyone at the table followed me to the Trump Hotel on the boardwalk.

    That set gives you 2 ways for the 3& 11 but Four ways for the 7. ( 2/5-5/2-1/6-6/1) You may want to use a set that only gives you two ways for the 7?? That is a great set when you wish to "lay" the 5 & 9 because you can not roll the 5 & 9 with that set. Your inside axis numbers are 4 & 3. Good Luck at the tables !! P.S. We use this set when we are coming out and hop the horn numbers. You have FOUR ways for the seven and all the horn numbers ( 2,3&12)

    Laughlin casinos that offer craps DO allow dice setting. Only exception is the Trop-- but even there--- if you ask the dealer to return the dice to you in your dice set..........they will do it! I go 4x per year........but would not go if they did not allow it. Have not been there this year yet, however. Nice too that you can find $5 tables (weekdays) at Edgewater, GN, and Aquarius.

      Being a mechanic, a saying we hear a lot is drive it like it was stolen. In craps, it is play as if it is casino money. That might be enough to calm down the brain a little.
      Another thing is consistency, it can be done once, it is repeatable.

    Some dice, not all are not all the same. Some dice are most definitely lighter. Now whether it's done on purpose or a manufacturing error is another discussion. I've thrown horseshoes alot and I know the difference in weight to the ounce. You can tell the difference in your hand and on the release. Same can be said with dice.

    • @dicesetters
      @dicesetters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very true. They are allowed to choose between a slightly lighter dice if they so choose, most casinos don't use the lighter dice.

      My best rolls were on the Roll to win tables. many over 30 rolls, & one guy I seen rolled a 62
      & sometimes the stickmen will pressure dice setters to "hurry Up" so I tip them to calm them down. One day my toss was "in the zone" & I rolled 8 hardways on a 28 roller. know way in hell I could do that on the bouncy felt tables full of colored chips.

    With Dice setting there are only "SIX MASTER SETS" It doesn't matter what numbers are on the right- left left- right, top, bottom, forwards, backwards, RLRR-LRLL you can only get THREE ways for the six & eight, TWO ways for the 4,5,9 and 10 and TWO ways for seven on the Do side. That's it! Roll the dice make a number get paid and roll again. You don't have to make things more complicated than they are. It is not that hard, use the KISS method. Good luck at the tables! POP QUIZ: What do 5/1-1/5-4/2-2/4 & 3/3 all have in common?? They ALL pay the same $$$. 🤔

    Why are they mad? They can always talk to you and ask what you are doing, right? Part of the fun is the chatter around the table. If they don't want to chat it up and discuss strategies, well then they SHOULD lose. As far as untrue dice, Koga Ninja did a video testing casino dice to prove that they are NOT truly balanced. Did you know that ONLY Colorado mandates BY LAW that their casino dice MUST be balanced? Nevada does not. Being one to always trust but verify, I bought my own balance tester, and guess what? He is right. I tested old used Vegas dice and brand new unused Vegas casino dice, and they all mostly favored a 5, 2, 6, or 1 when they stopped rotating. This should not happen, they should always stop on a random number, not always the same ones. The dice you play with, in Vegas, are not truly balanced. Are they purposely weighted to cheat you? I don't think so. It is just that depending on the dice producer or manufacturer, there are many levels of dice dimensional and side weighted accuracy available to a casino. I usually use Midwest Gaming dice in practice and they sell them as 100% true and balanced. They are not, I have tested them. Midwest is the largest supplier to casinos in the USA and odds are you are playing with their dice. BUT, again, there are casinos that use Chinese dice in bulk, Bee dice, TK Dice, etc. Who knows which ones they use, they won't tell you. But what I do know is that it is always a mixed bag which is why they give you five dice. That way, when YOU choose, the results are yours and no one can really say the casino is cheating, which most if not almost all are not. They don't need to. You don't have to believe me on this, but I encourage you to test them yourself with a dice balance tester then let us all know what you found out. As always, I love your content and look forward to every video.
