Nice quick question. I saw you at one point dumping water on your coals. Is this to conserve on fuel or some other part of the forging process? I am not familiar with coal forging. Thanks take care cool knives.
Great question. This is only to control the fire size and keep the heat concentrated. But some say it also helps to convert the green coal to coke ( a purer cleaner form of coal). Thanks for watching. Daniel
