- A look at the world of lo-fi reverb effects where lo-fi textures and ambient spaces meet. This video features all sorts of lo-fi reverb pedals (and a plugin) including mono and stereo, simple and complex, modulated, filtered, distorted, bit crushed and more.
I made more detailed videos of all pedals featured in this video: • Lo-fi reverbs

The pedals were provided by their respective companies for the video.

One thing I find gives nice vintage vibes digitally on guitar, not necessarily lofi, is putting your reverb BEFORE your cab sim in the effect chain in your daw.
The video turned out great! A little bit of dialogue, a little bit of text, and a whole lot of lovely sounds to which I can enjoyably listen. Thank you!
Thank you! Nice to hear you enjoyed it!
heck ya! This is the video I didn't know I needed until now! beautiful playing and pedal demonstration! also great narration!
Thank you!
Nice idea. Those HX Stomp presets sound excellent.
Thanks! I'm really happy with how they turned out, too.
Great video, nice sound selection that covers the spectrum of lo fi reverb! My personal favorites are the GCA light pedal and the Eventide Black hole.
I have the Ventris but really like the Lofi on that empress reverb, I have the empress echosystem and apparently you can just interchange it to the reverb with a new sd card, I need to learn how to do that so I can use either or whenever. Would be cool to get a printout cut and laminated to throw on top of it when I switch too lol. Or get someone to 3d print a layer I can put on top.
Also have the synesthesia, and have never really gotten many sounds I like out of it, I will need to try and do a reverb like you did on yours!
Also I really want that Rainger one since seeing Mg.Kee use the gated reverb on it so well.
You can see the settings for the Synesthesia here: donoise.home.blog/2023/10/24/synesthesia-presets/
Awesome comparison, mate! Some really stunning sounds here, and I'm loving the new format with the voiceover. Great stuff!
Thanks so much!
now this is how you do a comparison video - excellent thank you
Empress is the real lofi
Death by Audio Reverberation Machine could be here too. Nice video!!
Thanks!
Yes, that’s another one I wish I had. I’m starting to feel like we need a Part 2.
@@DoNoise you should definitely check it out. It sounds wonderful both as a mild reverb as well as a noise machine. Less versatile than others, but tons of personality.
No Dark Star!!! Great comparison vid anyway! atb Andy
Thanks! There are more I wish I could include but it wasn't possible unfortunately. I've been planning this video for about two years and no matter how many pedals were ready to be filmed there was always "that one more pedal" I wanted to include. At one point I had to stop collecting and just make the video :)
@@DoNoise I feel your pain. So many pedals!!!
Great pedals.. haven't got any of them but have Sunlight, Draume and Unusual Eas as my lo fi pedals....
@@patrickr6505 nice choices. I’ve had my eyes on all of those.
@@DoNoise Cheers,They are beautiful...
Do Noise doing the Lord's work right here
Nice. Is it the Light Pedal starting at 23 seconds in? Sounds like it and it’s shown, but it’s not clear for sure. Thanks
That part is Light > Space Force > Empress Reverb > Ventris. They’re all on.
Never heard of The Atmosphere pedal before, but that thing is cool as hell.
