I first heard the word " dullahan" in the anime "Durarara!!" where there's a headless motorcycle rider in modern times but directly based off of the historical Irish fae origins. It was super cool, but I mostly mention it because it's a good source for pronunciation, which your pronunciation is good imo. 👍
"Doo la han", not "dull uh han" I think *Or maybe "dool la han" **han? hon? I think soft a not hard a, so hon like on starting with a h sound. I obsess with pronunciation sometimes 🤣
Unfortunate about the audio, it sounds like your computer switched from using your microphone and you had attached to the ones built into your computer
I remember reading that the dullahan that drives a cart is referred to as a coach-a-bower. It shows up in Darby O'Gill and the Little People near the end.
Oh hey; I’m early; would be earlier but I was listening to your older Halloween vids I think it actually is dool ah haan or dool oh haan But I’ve only ever heard dull ah han in the states I wonder if chrom (Conan) comes from the dark twisted one Just got an idea for an encounter for the bbeg’s minions, 8 dullahan and a death knight on a knightmare. Nucklavee are pretty cool too.
It's either pronounced dull a Han if you're saying it normally. If you want to speak Irish it's dull-a-hawn or dool-a-hawn. Crom dubh is pronounced krom duvv or krom Doo. Irish has many dialects and accents. You'd never see more than one and it usually uses its own head held high like a lantern so it can see where it's going
I live in the area when the Iroquois lived. I have friend who smclaim ti have seen a white feathered sphere the size of a beach ball flying through the woods. I told them about the flying head and they freaked out.
Tom doesn’t actually work on this particular show. A critical piece of the interface overheated and we had to halt recording. Then when we started back up I didn’t turn the mics back up lol. Mechanical error into user error. It comes back up mid take because I noticed we weren’t getting levels after failing to check for them after the reboot.
The 480p is highly appropriate for this fantasy-themed video ........ as it leaves a lot of things to the imagination !!!!!!! Ha .......... get it ? .........anyone??? I will show myself out !!!!
There is irish warrior who’s name is spelled similarly and is pronounced like coo hull an, so that first U may be more like a oo sound so more like doola hans

Celty was awesome
The true sight and high perception make sense, remember in sleepy hollow when the kid was hiding under the floor boards and it still spotted him.
Unfortunate about the audio, it sounds like your computer switched from using your microphone and you had attached to the ones built into your computer
Lol. The severed head of a beholder XD or just their severed eyestalks reanimated
Whoa, cool intro. I really look forward to eventually running a game in the wider Ravenloft setting.

@@josephfurtado2306 makes sense; Dullahan is Irish
Haven’t been in touch with Darby ogill stuff in a while
Agree, no need to remake Sleepy Hollow. Perfect as is.
7:10 the audio changes
The god Dullahans serve is basically the Irish version of Moloch. You could even give these undead warriors paladin levels.

I know I keep saying it but hey it’s important. Thanks again you guys. 🙂
We love seeing it. Thank you for watching!
Set looks good!!
Edit: sleepy hallow is my favorite movie
Hell yeah! New intro is awesome!
Thank you!
@@Thedungeoncast You're welcome. Love the work you guys do!
I just used this in a campaign riding a nightmare. Was epic didn’t get to crit but i dropped a few party members.

Also I speak Irish so if you want to ask pronunciation stuff ask here I'll do my best also know a bit about mythology
Love the new intro guys! And the new format

Your poor audio 7:30
(Strokes the dungeoncast's face)
I love you regardless.
Indeed
That's that new equipment Tom was talking about I assume

Shows how much I know about podcasting I just assumed you'd all share equipment to save money since you have a bloke in common lol
It’s all good! That would make sense, but it’s more of a logistical thing that prevents us from doing that.
For future reference - Doo-Luh-Han
The werewolf can’t die from fall damage argument is the same as a terraque vs clay golem
Excellent video as always 👌
Hey! Some Scottish stuff, cool
Edit: I realise they're Irish but they did also cross the seas into Scottish folklore
Long time listener. Couldn't finish the episode due to the terrible drop in sound quality around the 7 minute mark.
Yeah sorry about that. We lost the mic audio for a section. I believe it comes back to normal later in the episode.
I want a Yondalla video
Lol quality intro
Watch Durarara

So I (Will) WAS saying it right! Lol

Wow, the art on that "blood red eyes" whatever? Is SO bad. Love your new format though!
