Thanks for the 30 min. relaxing cup of coffee, ever so slowly getting colder for each zip, with the taste evolving to more and more fruity notes as the temperature drops.
Probably the best Brazilian coffee I've come across, EHh yes photos 😁😁
I was never much of a black and white photographer, started with Instamatic as a 7 year old, and have followed the technical journey, up to my Sony A7II.
But I can absolutely appreciate the fondness of loosing time and space inside the darkroom for a couple of hours.
I use my the garage for the same type of therapeutic sessions, or an aimless drive in one of my old BMWs.

Lovely. The darkroom really is truly my happy place. I’m on my third; rebuilding with each move to a new residence over the last 3 decades. Currently, my smallest darkroom, but no less capable.
I’ve been known to enter on Friday morning and exit on a Sunday evening. I get lost in it.

Truly enjoyable. Relaxed but determined. I’ve created a thousand excuses why I can’t put my darkroom together. When I saw you lay the trays on the floor, well, I have no excuse. I’ll be putting mine together. Did I mention inspiring? Thank you.
BTW, you don’t do test strips?

I literally poured developer on my desktop mat! Who the f*ck cares? Yeah I did a couple of test strips but I figured it’s too hard to tell for the whole image. Buy the cheapest paper you can get and trust yourself.

What a beautiful easy goin video as you said it’s so relaxing doing this ! I need to start my own dark room … I’ve never done it but it’s getting expensive sending my film to the lab and as you are aware it’s so addictive and wanting to see your own images is like a kind of opiate vibe .. keep on shooting on

I absolutely like the way you are presenting this video. I really enjoyed this 30 minutes. But why did you crop your beautyful square negatives to rectangular?
    Cheers and best regards, Greg

Hey Ian! These have been shot with the A16 film back creating 16 6x4,5 images from a single roll of 120 film! It’s a matter of cost efficiency 🫶🏼 However, keep your eyes peeled for the next two episodes…

Enjoyed this - this was the first time I saw the process behind a darkroom. I can imagine it must be time consuming if you were to develop a roll of photos. What is your average time spent per image ( +/- ). Also, a good selection of music for the video. Looking forward to the next one : )

Thanks man! It roughly takes me an hour per image once everything is set up! However, I am far from experienced with this. It can also take much longer if you really dive deep into dodging and burning!

Warum hast du nur 2k Abonnenten? Ist das hier noch TH-cam oder schon Arthouse Kino? Damn! Krasses Video, Respekt!
