    Guys like Mr. Deane are the ones to hang around. The wealth of knowledge that falls off of him that you could pick up would be irreplaceable. I’d like to buy him a beer and listen to all his stories. When guys like that are gone it’s like closing the doors on a library that can never be reopened.

    That radial is a real whomper stomper. All that raw fuel coming out is wild. A 300 foot track isn't long enough to get that thing and those turbines wound out. They never get a chance to reach full rpm before they have to shut them down. I'll bet those turbines are a nightmare to set up and run...

    • @fragohio
      @fragohio 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      From the dope running leather and lace. Down there it was the opposite. That track was the loosest we have ever been on. Not complaining about the track, but was 100% different from what we are used to. We were maxining out on our output at the starting line. Actually had to back them down for the later pulls.

      They get them spoiled up on the line from what I’ve been told by guys at the pulls.

      It is called a planetary. There is a sun gear. The sun gear connects to the rear end. The planet gears connected to the engines, all drive the sun gear to spin the rear. And the throttle connects to the different throttle bodies so they all rev as the same rpm.

      Typically each engine has its own centrifugal clutch and that shaft out of the clutch connects to a crossbox or series of crossboxes (differs by tractor setup) which transfer power to the output shaft under the driver into the rear differential. The crossbox is just a large gearbox and are very strong.
      The clutches on most pulling vehicles don’t engage until a certain RPM is reached. The “Locked and Loaded” tractor in this video likely has the front two motors connected crank-crank which was common 30 years ago.
      The main problem with a crank-crank setup is if one engine fails, the other is put under great strain. The other problem is you have to get the timing exactly right.

    • @WWPTV
      @WWPTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So let me alleviate some of your concerns. I ask this of promoters all the time. First question you want to do online sales? Why would I want that? So you can presale tickets. Why would I want to do that? So you can have an idea how many bleachers, food vendors, etc to have on site. What will it cost me 30% up front for tax withheld and 3% for CC and 1.5% for booking agent. So what would o charge to get $20 like I do at the gate? About $30/ticket. No one in their right mind would pay that. People do all the time for concert tickets. Thanks but no thanks.
      So my question to you is would you pay $30-35 dollars for a ticket and $45 for VIP seating. This is just for me. But I will surely pass it along.
      Th deal with the pre-sold tickets are they cost less than at the gate or so I thought. Please respond I want genuine input on this.

    • @tedathome3
      @tedathome3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WWPTV I would have paid 50 for a ticket if I am traving from 50 to 100 miles away. NOT to have to make two trips up and back to have a seat. With out presales you cant verify where you gong to sit. SO yes dont be degreading. I and many other on you FB page were willing to buy tickets online. Your cost are your problem.
      All I see when I watch the video were half filled seats and what could have been a biger pay out for the prize money. But you ASSUMED wrong. You didnt even promote outside of a small area and to find out ANY info on the event I had to look for hrs to even find out when and where it was going to be held. Then only to find out Limited acess to tickets were from ONE place in the whole of the FL. WOW you showed us with a Poorly Filmed video of the event.
      I guess we know why MUD pits draw more than ANY puller event ever will. I feel really bad for the people who spent Thousands & Thhousands on there rigs to show a few hundred how the play.
      🤔

    • @WWPTV
      @WWPTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I posted no less than 40+ times on video pumping up the event. It was 43 times to be exact. These were videos and video ads not Ad revenue to which I spent $1000 of my money and much more of my time on this event and targeted the exact geographic areas I was tasked to do so. I posted dozens of photos to promote the event. I have more followers than only one other outlet on the planet for pulling. My name is Will Whitt for which my company is named. It is nice to meet you. I reached well over 10 million people leading up to the event. We have people around the world working with us. We are growing. At least 25% every year since our inception in 2013. It is nice to meet you. I hope this falling through the crack doesn't happen in the future. Like follow and share our page of future content. Help others find events.
      I am who I am. You either like that or you don't. If I change myself I will not have the desired impact others want to see for their events. I do not mean to be degrading. These are honest conversations I have had with promoters. Uncle Sam wants every dollar he can get. Promoters need every dollar they can get. So country or pulling or credit card companies, who will you support more in this faceted conversation? You get to choose that just like every promoter gets to choose path to their desired demographics.
      I will pass this along to the promoters, but in places where seats are not clearly marked, it is impossible to sell you a seat that is not defined. I will urge for pre-sales for some sort of un-hackable ticket of NFT or something that will allow people to reserve seats. All VIP seats were sold out. General Admission and Standing Room Only was all that was left. SRO is typically always available until a fire marshal says it isn't.
      Speaking to Ocala, they had a record year in ticket sales and it would have been better if it wasn't freezing the second night. The first night of any pull is always light. People work and they can't always make it by 7PM. You cannot fill a venue outside of Bowling Green the first night! And even if you do, there are always truck guys and tractor guys. Tractor guys will not watch a truck go down the track and vice versa. I don't care who you are that is a fact. Stands will never be full except on the last night of an event and typically only the first couple of classes. I had pullers from up north that didn't compete that told me they wanted seats. They came into town and bought VIP seats. They ended up standing by me the whole weekend. They didn't sit once. If you want to go to a pull, go. to a pull. Buy tickets if available call the promoter. You just get there!
      The original post read "Early Ticket Available. They are for pre-sale at the following location: K&K Truck & Trailer Parts 2031 NW 4th Ave. Ocala, FL 34475 352-732-5100 They will be available from 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday ask for Cathy. CASH ONLY - no online sales beware of scammers. We have VIP tickets available also, check the above ticket prices & just add $5 to the ticket for the best seats in the house. We will have plenty of tickets available for each day of the pull at the entrance gates".
      I half-joke about the NFT but a non-fungible token (NFT) is a financial security consisting of digital data stored in a blockchain, a form of distributed ledger. The ownership of an NFT is recorded in the blockchain, and can be transferred by the owner, allowing NFTs to be sold and traded. NFTs typically contain references to digital files such as photos, videos, and audio. I can see you buying a digital ticket verified by. alist of NFT holders at an event created by a guy like me. There were dozens of people posting about tickets for sale. And I event put on Live Streams "Not tickets for the actual event. These are tickets for the Live Stream online event"
      We do whatever we can to promote events for promoters. And we are full of ideas and solutions. I do not want you to agree with me. I want you to have the facts. And as Executive Director of the NTPA Greg Randall told to me personally, "Will, we really like your work. We see quantifiable evidence of what you are doing for our brand. Your work is second to no one." I have contracted for the NTPA a number of times as well. Locally in Virginia, I have helped to build Dragon Motorsports into a nationally known brand. The owner of Dragon Motorsports Temple Brizendine texted me this recently "Thanks for making Dragon Motorsports a better brad. I appreciate what you do!" You will not hear me bash anyone else for what they do or don't. I just wanted you to hear it from me. If you have future concerns go to wilwhitt.com and use the contact me feature. And be sure to sign up for our email for future promotions of events. Thank you.

    I'm an old fart and the jet tractors, while impressive, are a buzz kill. Just my opinion!
    Since your are going to waste screen space with ads, why not include what engines are being run on each tractor?

      So there may be room for this in the future. I need an announcer that you can hear tell you this. Sadly the PA speakers are never near me. But they do tend to say it. However the shear amount of data to mine for that would take a lifetime. The website that lists the results just says automotive engine piston. That doesn't tell me Hemi, Wedge, Sonnys, Steve Schmidt, Brad Anderson Hemi, Curtis Wright Radial Engine, etc. I really, really don't want to guess.
      And the Ads along with promoters get us out to events and put fuel in our tanks. We need as much as we can get to make this happen. TH-cam as a rule inserts Ad every 7 minutes or so. I try to select the natural breaks, but even I can't dictate what they will do. I will offer a PPV site in the future where for $5/video you can watch Ad free or $25/month for unlimited videos and Live Streams. No Ads. That is the definition of Web 3, where content owners control their content. Where Web 2 is Ad funded content by the likes of Facebook, TH-cam, etc. At least now you know.
      Thanks, Will
