Hi Carl . For it to work correctly, when the ignition is ON, there must be continuity between red and brown AND black and black/ white. Red energises CDI and black earths it. Thanks .
I don't suppose you know the size of the bolts for the ignition switch, I got the same switch and the wiring was a lifesaver as bike kept turning over so ty so much mate!
I don't know, I haven't been able to get the bolts off the old ignition yet, but bike is running again atleast, was hoping to order some before I get old bolts off, so how confident are you with them being M6's? Lol
I assume the original ignition lock switched both pairs to "ON" unlike the Injection models that switch opposites one pair on, one pair off (as per your test meter video).. (hence the brown loop wire you had to do) I'm just trying to figure out the differences between the Ignition switches... Struggling to find the correct switch without busting the bank!.. I may try what you have done.

I wired my new ignition to my ybr and it's trying to start but just won't turn over
Wiring is a bloody pain in the arse.
The ignition
Do you know why backlights the YBR speedometer use?!
No mate sorry, this was almost two years ago.
U got to wire it differently as china it’s in different place

It seems to work mate, in fact, its quite scary how easy one of these would be to Hotwire!
so when you do the con test on the lock does it work the same on the cables from the loom ?
Yes mate, it works perfectly.
@@motorcyclejunkie7564 looking again and i am sure ill be back
Good video Carl, all the bits and bobs starting to appear. Are you painting the mud guards in future ?
Yes mate definitely. The new side panels when they turn up are black, so front mudguard will also be going black.
shame about broken parts, but chin up and move on
Bike is barely worth saving, but I'm going to try.
