Saw them the very next night in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is the closest show I have heard that captures Nick McCabe's wall of noise. I remember telling people it was like lava flowing from the stage just sucking everyone in. Best show by any band I have ever seen. Thank you for this.
I don’t think there’s ever been a better representation of a guitar player using technology to enhance what they are capable of. Nick is fully in control of creating so many variable textures from moment to moment. I don’t know many guitar players that have that kind of mastery.
@@floytron5924 I recorded them at least 4 times. I have one uploaded on my TH-cam channel so far, and will eventually get them all uploaded from my master tapes. I was planning to get this 7th Street Entry show uploaded on the 30th Anniversary, but I got distracted. Amazing that you were thinking the same thing!
Pre ‘The’ Verve is next level music. Saw them here in the UK a number of times. Have Mad Richard’s setlist grabbed from the Queen’s Hall Bradford stage in 93. Oasis were the support act and they were largely ignored… Noel found it funny, Liam threw a strop… They were bang average. Verve were light years ahead in musicality and pushing boundaries. Legendary.
Nice! Do you mind if you share that setlist so I can add it to the Setlist.fm Verve page? Don't need a picture, though that would be cool. Just need to know what they played on the night. Thanks :)

That soaring solo in 6 O'clock is the closest I get to being one with the universe. My head and body resonate with it. I get the same feeling with this one: th-cam.com/video/EB4N5vpB2fA/w-d-xo.html which is a BBC studio take of Life's an Ocean in '98, if the details were correct.
I brought a no branded Chinese made set for £12.99 off of Amazon and they are perfect for sitting in the back of a car listening to choons. You could by some bose ones though for £100 and really get down.

That sounds awesome. Wish I could've seen them in this era. Nothing comes close to it. Did they play the same setlist that night?
@@floytronmusic8680 Pretty much. Tiny GR bar on Halloween. Ripped my head off so to speak.
Imagine being presented with that unimaginable wall of sound and then just having to go home. How do you comprehend life after?
Can confirm, I was at this show and my mind was fully blown afterward.
Always loved this bootleg, but this remaster makes it so much better, you can really hear Nick flying through space.

NICK MCCABE THE GOAT

One of the most gifted and underrated guitarists ever and that astounds me.
Glad to hear that you like my recording!
Thanks for being there and recording. Did you ever see The Verve again?

@@fmonster that’s awesome stuff! Were you able to record something from their 1995 performance at First Avenue?
@@floytron5924 No I missed that one.
Can you make it on vinyl?
This is so Awesome. Thanks from a life long Verve fan. I've been lucky enough to see them a few times. I still pray for one more reunion 🙏
The Verve es la banda patrimonio de la humanidad en la música, muy adelantados a su época... para mi sin lugar a dudas mi banda favorita

Question For Everyone: What is the absolute best and loudest pair of road-friendly, bluetooth headphones to listen to The Verve and RPA?
