Trying A Brutal Olympic Marathon Long Run Workout - Can I Survive The Dos Santos?

- Dos Santos, two time New York City Marathon winner, 3 times Olympian (including fifth place at London 2012) and 2:06 marathoner devised this brutal marathon long run session to help him prepare for elite marathon racing.
The run is in three sections:
Part 1: 12-16 miles at 80% of marathon pace
Part 2: 3 miles at marathon pace
Part 3: 6x400 metres at 5K pace with 100 metre recoveries
I'm about 5 weeks out from my next marathon race and I wanted to give this a go to see where my aerobic fitness and endurance are currently at.
It was mentally and physically a very tough run, but very enjoyable too.

I’m so impressed with this workout I sent the link to a few runners in my club!! Unfortunately most of them don’t speak English though!😂😂
