Scones and biscuits are NOT the same thing! Everything I have read comparing them says that scones have eggs, and biscuits don't. They don't even taste the same.
Food wars is great, the reason for the difference in ingredients is that the US gov't forces food companies to display the breakdown of each ingredient instead of just the ingredient. The "Finger Lookin Good Sauce" is called "Finger Lickin Good" but they changed it when covid popped off. LMFAOO when Gaynor said "that carpet needs vacuuming" if you go to the office blokes reaction to this video Daz says the same thing when he sees the carpet.
What's even more amazing how can same products have so much more crap in US, than other countries. Because we want cheap above all else. Chemicals, who cares. Years later, cancer and other stuff. Why didn't government protect me? But this is norm on many issues, government stay out of my life. Where is my stimulus check, where's my assistance after a storm.? Technically he is right, burgers can be made with beef, chicken, turkey or vegetables. But a hamburger is made specifically with beef. But im with you i call it a sandwich when it has chicken.
In Pennsylvania, at Roaring Knob Raceway they call it a burger (which is by far the best chicken sandwich we've ever had to this very day) and it's called the dirt burger haha
@@ArturoTorres-kh2oy I would think that the chicken you have mentioned above is ground chicken just like ground beef or turkey. It's ground and made into a patty then grilled, not an actual chicken breast that's grilled as a whole piece.
Mt. Dew is HUGE in America. Back around 2002, I coached and taught at a high school here in Iowa. We had seven pop machines throughout the school where the kids could get drinks all day. Five of those machines were nothing but Mt. Dew ..and they had to be refilled twice a day usually.
Pies in the US are sweet desserts, however we also have many meat pies and we call them "pot pies". Chicken pot pie, beef pot pie, Turkey pot pie. If we are refering to a specific usually British item we say shepherds pie but that uses mashes potatoes rather than pastry .
A 16 pc meal never has to go to waste, there are so many different ways to eat any remaining pieces. Some of my favorites: strip chicken off the bones & make chicken sandwiches. Shred the chicken for tacos, burritos & enchiladas. Cover the whole chicken pieces with Buffalo Wing sauce & heat in the microwave or oven for a bit & serve with coleslaw/fries. Chop the Buffalo Chicken into bite size pieces & make buffalo fries or cover the chopped pieces of chicken with heated teriyaki, hoisin or char sui sauce and make a banh mi sandwich. Make a stir fry. Slice chicken breasts into pieces and serve over a salad. Can do the same thing when you purchase a rotisserie chicken, shred the meat to make great chicken soup or Mexican chicken tortilla soup. The number of uses for any leftover pieces of chicken is endless. Freeze it for later! It never goes to waste, lol. For most people, ie: families, parties, etc. there aren't any left overs. We might have KFC once or twice a year max.
Where I live in the PNW US KFC corn is on the cob, not in a bowl. We also have Coleslaw (shredded cabbage) 3 types of chicken- Crispy, Original Recipe and Skinless. 8,12,16,20 piece buckets. We also have individual meals in 2,3,4 piece with 2 small sides & a biscuit.
in Canada you can get a 6 10 14 16 or 18 piece and you can buy a full bucket of popcorn chicken here as well Canada and america are definitely top 2 when it comes to portion sizes 😂

Ya KFC in the 90s had real ingredients. Today, their mashed potatoes taste like they from a powder mix, biscuits r bland hockey pucks and Mac n cheese is just paste. Absolutely disgusting
Childhood memory: my T-ball team practiced uphill from a KFC 😊, but also from a sewage treatment plant. Practice would end to the scent of KFC, which would be promptly killed by the treatment plant, which would start processing 😢...
In our defense, we usually get large-sized orders on a road trip just to save on having to make so many stops- everyone slowly eating it until someone either needs to make a pit stop or fill the car up on gas. And there is another thing to take into account on why we have large-sized orders besides long road trips. 1.) Parties or 2.) A large family (we're talking about brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, and so on.) All in all, it makes more sense to order the larger portion for such reasons. (Both my parents come from a large family. My mom came from a family of 6 and dad came from a family of 12 😅)
The KFC in my town (in the US) went so far downhill that they closed it a few months back. It used to be so delicious but before it closed it was horrid
I'm old school, I never call it "KFC", I always call it Kentucky Fried Chicken. Growing up that's what everyone called it. Not sure when people starting referring to it by it's initialism. Late 80's or early 90's maybe?
There was a period, I believe in the 90s, where KFC officially changed their name to KFC reportedly to get "fried" out of the name to sound more health conscious. They later re-branded back, though both are common now.
I don't know if this comment will translate to the UK. But Mtn Dew is the Pepsi equivalent of Coca-Cola's Mellow Yellow. 7Up is the Pepsi equivalent of Coca-Cola's Sprite. And it's the 7Up/Sprite that are supposedly lemon-lime flavor. It's been so long since I've had a Mellow Yellow/Mtn Dew that I can't even remember what the flavor is supposed to be.
Never really get kfc but I love Popeyes just amazing food for an amazing price. Chicken tenders with sweet heat and a side of fries are the best. The chicken sandwich is so good but can’t get to much it’s that hot.

KFC chicken is not so great in America either. I think they just got rid of their popcorn chicken. Their mashed potatoes and GRAVY are so good. I haven't been to KFC since 2008 cause I was grossed out. It's like their chicken meat is all slimy.
Never was a fan of KFC. Plus, if I ever got carded out of state, they would ask if I like KFC due to my license being KY. There's a regional chain called Lee's that is better, actually founded by a former employee at the original KFC near London, KY.
I hate the way they try and make innocuous ingredients sound like they’re these crazy chemicals when most of the stuff are things you’d use in your kitchen: baking powder, sugar (dextrose), MSG, etc. We need to stop being scared of an ingredient because it has a long name or acting like that means it’s bad.
20 yrs since I've been to KFC, never been to Churches or Popeyes. Prefer baked chicken from the Grocery store deli or drive over to my Mom's house for homemade roasted or baked chicken.
Well theres also the fact if you are getting a box of popcorn chicken for yourself or ording a 20 piece chicken mcnuggets at mcdonalls you are likely not also ording fries, you are just eating chicken which comes out to about the same calories and arguably healthier.
In the past decade KFC has really lost both its food quality and my business. Now if I'm not going to make it myself I go to Popeye's or most likely Church's as both are better and generally much faster. I won't go to their restaurants in Corpus Christi or really anywhere in south Texas.

I dispute that US biscuits are like scones. Maybe visually. I love a biscuit, but can take or leave a scone.

Yes. I do love food wars, especially because the US wins. I don’t know how good that is. 😂
We used to have the baked beans in the U S. They discontinued them. To the dismay of many. Before the current bisquite they had awesome dinner rolls.
Have plenty of assortment in US. Even Heinz from UK. Would require heating, such a task for some.

Ours is Mashed potatos and gravy. The fries are a relatively recent addition to the Menu.

KFC mashed potatoes & gravy used to be horrible. It’s still not great but it’s now tolerable.
It's mashed "potato" and gravy. Definitely powdered mash potato

Agree w/ G, KFC has gone down over here as well. I stopped eating there in the ‘90s when they merged with Taco Bell. Down hill ever since.
When I was a teenager, they tore down 2 of my neighbors houses and a vet clinic to put up a kfc/taco bell, it is now a Caribou coffee.

Mountain Dew has several flavors now. It also has more caffeine than coffee.
