The Armstrong Lift was just north of the departure platform. You can see where the short spur joins just after you've left towards Bank. The opening in the present depot is where cars can be craned in and out, as they were on refurbishment in 2006. I wrote the familiarisation course for staff when we took over the W&C in 1994 and am still working for LU now :-) Love your work guys. Thanks.
I can't believe I never knew about this route until now (July 2024). I've never been to the W&C in real life, but I like it because of its unusual nature and history.
