I got to say, as the guy that got the guns, ammo, tanks, and gas grenades ready for that Foxhole event, it was very fun to see us get absolutely destroyed anyway. 10/10 would logi for Ignis again!
Well Bazookas and similar weapons were proven to be useful even against Reinforced Concrete Pillboxes. Why charge a machine gun in that position when you can just punch a hole through it?

i was a warden medic fighting in a battle, it got so bad we ran out of bandages and we had to let people go down to heal them. 1 guy brought bandages, every man cheered for the soul logi truck that brought bandages.

I've noticed that the colonials seem to target the medics first. An effect strategy, especially for moral loss. Jay, this entire game makes the Battle of the Somme look like a Sunday stroll.
Yes it's one of the very few games that makes you feel like a very very very very very small Cog in a very large war and that your contribution is most of the time meaningless

The warden's have had for an long time of this game the most "Vet's" and Ace's and they still do it don't get me wrong, But the Colonial's have been more open to rando's most of their time of existence and have an more socialist Open kind of thinking, Making them somehow overall better trained

Would like to make note that in last ... few weeks the game underwent a huge update ... 14 new regions, uniforms, change in bunker and trench possibilities -> alas 46 update of foxhole if you now take proper time and plan your bunker it can be a real hell to conquer now .. even be made so that even if collies get into your trench the cant fire back at you and you can just gas them out again :D
The True Foxhole Experience- sitting in a trench scared out of your wits and trying to figure out what's happening, then a tankwall shows up and power fucks you.

Yyyyup. Every ten seconds of this, I was just nodding and going, "Hoo boy have I ever _been there!"_ The only thing that's missing is an utter lack of help when there's partisans camping the ONLY logi line to the front.
@@tvdinner8838 once was apart of a successful a colonial defense using only weapons we stole of the wardens. Logi was pretty lax that day. Layers of storage boxes full of random rifles and ammo sustained us!
This game is amazing because it captures the idea of war the best for a cooperative front: amateurs talk tactics, professionals talk logistics. Every little round, every gun, every vehicle, shell fired from artillery, everything, has to be gathered, moved, prepared, and then finally, can be used. It requires the mass efforts of so many people to make that front move, or to hold that line, and it captures the intensity of conflict so well, how powerful you can feel overwhelming the enemy in one region, or in another area it's constant retreats, or the attritional slaughter fest that comes from static fronts. It depends entirely on how players choose to play the tools the developers set, that's all they do, just give you the pieces to effectively simulate the idea of a "front" in war. And it's. So. Brutal. I love this game, I remember when it came out how much I loved it then, and it has developed further than I ever thought, 11/10 video, and jay really did capture this hell of a game

funny fact about that gas mask and grenades ... foxhole recently in update 46 implemented uniforms and tank uniforms allow for gas filters to stack so its a lot lot harder to gas out crews of tank now =D ... before it was very overpowered thing then you threw a 5 of 10 gas "nades" (shortened foxhole nickname) into line of tanks and then just stole them for yourself =D
My god. I don't know whether to laugh or be very concerned for the mental health of anyone in this battle. I think this rivals Verdun in terms of 'most horrible battle I can think of' and 'shittiest place to die in a war' at the same time.
This is extremely tame compared to other battles. Hell, in War 68, a battle over the town of Isawa left more than 3,000 soldiers dying per hour. Logistics literally ran out of guns for the soldiers at some points, and men just ran into gunfire caving in people's skulls with bare fists and high-explosive suicide bombings.

I like to think Ignis is just some inter-dimensional Mercenary company that was blessed by some eldritch deity with the ability to have all its members come back to life, because they nuked a planet in the way of a nebula the creature wanted to see

Has anyone ever tried to do like a spy mission. Where they spawn as one side but in actuality they're relaying information to the other team? I assume it doesn't go well unless with friends as everyone just assumes you're an enemy and shoots on site. But in theory it could shake things up.

Honestly playing as logi in this game sounds like it would be genuinely fun: what with not knowing what’s going on when you’re away, I would imagine that there’s plenty of instances where a formerly safe rear-line area turns into a firefight while you’re trying to get supplies to the front, and that sounds AWESOME
I was a machine gunner trying to hold the Plaza just north of Abandoned Ward last night. My gun was literally in the house that our logi boys had to get to, constant combat for 4 hours repelling waves of determined attackers with our rag tag group of holdouts. Logi kept us in the fight. If you do start playing, logi is a great way to get the thanks of the frontline grunts.
Is this fisherman’s row? If so I think I was in the colonial mess of bodies at some point (might of been in one of machine guns in the tank with 2 machine guns at some point if my memory is correct)
I think it might have been that awful battle near Saltbrook. There was one shot where they were fighting at Skodio at the western bridge heading towards Blackwatch tho.
I had to put at least five dozens of colonials using the warden scout tank during War 83 when the colonials are pushing for Drowning Vale by town called Bootnap by the border of Allod's Bight that have just finished mopping up the border bunker bases with rushing 150 infantry players and plenty of artillery, now they are heading towards Drowning Vale to pacify what the wardens have taken recently. The town hall got destroyed by a partisan (recon) and we manage to patch it back up again, then more collies are popping up for skirmish to the bunker base south of Bootnap, without AI defense active as well. Great. That was at the time I wasn't scout tank gunner yet and despite low supplies on the town hall, we're still doing okay since its just small skirmish after all...that is until Bardiche tank just rolled over and more infantry coming by the dozens. I spawned on different bunker base or something and I saw scout tank driver goes by name Snowfall (rank Major) and he lacks gunner that shoots 12,7 MM ammo, I volunteer to be tank gunner and he accepts. With two of us, we're heading to Bootnap to take out many collies as possible, whats amusing to say that the collies haven't brought gas grenades but they do have huge supplies of AT sticky grenades - silverhands/chieftains were fallen to these infantry rushing stickies and they haven't able to take out the bardiche tank yet, then the first night have occured. Nights are in main disadvantage for all tank crew out there, while infantry can still see in the dark where the tanks are located and where sneaking comes in the play here - After the dawn have broken we're still alive and we do run low on health, ammo and fuel so we retreated out of Bootnap and resupply, repair and refuel before going back in. Bootnap on other hand is running out of supplies to defend themselves and they lost the inactive BB (good riddance) and not even supply runs will ever make it to the town hall safely without getting attacked by collie infantry, they just don't stop coming back for more. All the while, the kill body count for the scout tank continues to receive more kills and now entering the second night, we often retreat back away from the town whenever the Collie Bardiche gets too close and near the end of night, the town hall is destroyed since the wardens down here can't do anything but to fight back with pistols. We have to retreat back north of bootnap by the bridge and hold our ground there to stop the blitzkrieg of infantry down here. We're in good defending position due to the high ground and this is when the dawn is breaking up again as we can finally able to see whats coming after us, not a lot of infantry were bothering us but certainly like a dozen are rushing to the bridge but we did gun them down easily - and that is when the bardiche tank have decided to hunt us down and definitely want a kill now, so we got to the other side of bridge to get safely out of range from their turret that put shell on us since we can't fight back. When the Bardiche tank got on the other side and caught up to us, they have failed to realize this is where the cat and mouse game ends within range in the middle of Bunker Base with a working AI defense, everything including the rifle garrisons, machine-gun garrisons and anti-tank garrisons including the pillboxes are firing at the Bardiche tank, put them immobile and eventually destroyed. We outsmarted an more dangerous tank than we could ever handle and warden reinforcements have arrived with armour support to relief us. The collies took the town hall, several tanks, infantry but they couldn't kill a single scout tank. Thank you for the adventure, Snowfall. I won't forget this experience in War 83. This is before Wardens have nuked Ashtown by weeks and I know this is where the collies have abandoned their efforts to go offensive by the eastern front thanks to mine and scout tank's driver valiant efforts.

Nade is pretty much a universal term and I'd be surprised if people in the great war didn't refer to them as such
Likewise you can also stack grenades using other different uniform, its only matter of question how many grenades you carry.
The Sunhaven Convention was weird thing, it banned all chemical weapons except grenades.
You should really play this more, it is just as entertaining as your Arma videos.

Has anyone ever tried to do like a spy mission. Where they spawn as one side but in actuality they're relaying information to the other team? I assume it doesn't go well unless with friends as everyone just assumes you're an enemy and shoots on site. But in theory it could shake things up.

Honestly playing as logi in this game sounds like it would be genuinely fun: what with not knowing what’s going on when you’re away, I would imagine that there’s plenty of instances where a formerly safe rear-line area turns into a firefight while you’re trying to get supplies to the front, and that sounds AWESOME
I was a machine gunner trying to hold the Plaza just north of Abandoned Ward last night. My gun was literally in the house that our logi boys had to get to, constant combat for 4 hours repelling waves of determined attackers with our rag tag group of holdouts. Logi kept us in the fight.
If you do start playing, logi is a great way to get the thanks of the frontline grunts.

I think it might have been that awful battle near Saltbrook. There was one shot where they were fighting at Skodio at the western bridge heading towards Blackwatch tho.

I love your Arma vids but seeing that you jumped into Foxhole for a bit has me wanting to jump back into that. :)
I had to put at least five dozens of colonials using the warden scout tank during War 83 when the colonials are pushing for Drowning Vale by town called Bootnap by the border of Allod's Bight that have just finished mopping up the border bunker bases with rushing 150 infantry players and plenty of artillery, now they are heading towards Drowning Vale to pacify what the wardens have taken recently.
The town hall got destroyed by a partisan (recon) and we manage to patch it back up again, then more collies are popping up for skirmish to the bunker base south of Bootnap, without AI defense active as well. Great. That was at the time I wasn't scout tank gunner yet and despite low supplies on the town hall, we're still doing okay since its just small skirmish after all...that is until Bardiche tank just rolled over and more infantry coming by the dozens.
I spawned on different bunker base or something and I saw scout tank driver goes by name Snowfall (rank Major) and he lacks gunner that shoots 12,7 MM ammo, I volunteer to be tank gunner and he accepts. With two of us, we're heading to Bootnap to take out many collies as possible, whats amusing to say that the collies haven't brought gas grenades but they do have huge supplies of AT sticky grenades - silverhands/chieftains were fallen to these infantry rushing stickies and they haven't able to take out the bardiche tank yet, then the first night have occured.
Nights are in main disadvantage for all tank crew out there, while infantry can still see in the dark where the tanks are located and where sneaking comes in the play here - After the dawn have broken we're still alive and we do run low on health, ammo and fuel so we retreated out of Bootnap and resupply, repair and refuel before going back in.
Bootnap on other hand is running out of supplies to defend themselves and they lost the inactive BB (good riddance) and not even supply runs will ever make it to the town hall safely without getting attacked by collie infantry, they just don't stop coming back for more. All the while, the kill body count for the scout tank continues to receive more kills and now entering the second night, we often retreat back away from the town whenever the Collie Bardiche gets too close and near the end of night, the town hall is destroyed since the wardens down here can't do anything but to fight back with pistols. We have to retreat back north of bootnap by the bridge and hold our ground there to stop the blitzkrieg of infantry down here.
We're in good defending position due to the high ground and this is when the dawn is breaking up again as we can finally able to see whats coming after us, not a lot of infantry were bothering us but certainly like a dozen are rushing to the bridge but we did gun them down easily - and that is when the bardiche tank have decided to hunt us down and definitely want a kill now, so we got to the other side of bridge to get safely out of range from their turret that put shell on us since we can't fight back.
When the Bardiche tank got on the other side and caught up to us, they have failed to realize this is where the cat and mouse game ends within range in the middle of Bunker Base with a working AI defense, everything including the rifle garrisons, machine-gun garrisons and anti-tank garrisons including the pillboxes are firing at the Bardiche tank, put them immobile and eventually destroyed. We outsmarted an more dangerous tank than we could ever handle and warden reinforcements have arrived with armour support to relief us. The collies took the town hall, several tanks, infantry but they couldn't kill a single scout tank.
Thank you for the adventure, Snowfall. I won't forget this experience in War 83. This is before Wardens have nuked Ashtown by weeks and I know this is where the collies have abandoned their efforts to go offensive by the eastern front thanks to mine and scout tank's driver valiant efforts.
MORE FOX HOLE
