Someone made a mistake. Will it end up being a good deal for me?

- A company I've never dealt with delivered someone else's diesel fuel to my tank. It was supposed to go to someone on a completely different road. I'm waiting to hear back from them to see how they want to handle this
I just gave $3.35 for dyed diesel, so we’re talking about $1,000.00 here. 30 rolls of hay @$30 a roll would about cover that.
Doing the right thing and being a good person is better for the conscious and leads to a better quality of life
i had fuel delivered to me twice over the years from companies i dont use. the first time on the bill it said to a logging company 2 miles up the road in the woods tank will be in back of pickup and it came to my farm next to a building. the 2nd time it was supposed to go to a farm 14 miles away a different address and town? both times i called in they were the first time 28 cents a gallon higher than the guy i use the 2nd time 34 cents a gallon higher. BOTH times BOTH companies were jerks and said i HAD to pay!!! i said see you in court and hung up! they BOTH wound up charging me the same as my guy charged BUT complained they werent making any money? i told them thats funny? my fuel guy told me at the price he charges he makes GOOD money a GOOD living and is adding another truck and another driver. both companies just said pay the bill and hung up. i would call your regular guy and see if the price is different and if the are way higher tell them to come pump it out
do not pay for anything you did not order
Be honest, pay for it! Seeing you got ahold of the oil company now it's in their hands. Never know they might not make you pay for it or maybe get it for a discount!?!

I don’t think there’s anyway they would remove it and put it in another customers tank. Way too much liability, like you said.
And I think there’s still a lot of good people around. It seems like after Covid every one became a lot more cut-throat and ruthless to each other. But definitely still some honesty and decency left out
Definitely more good in the country. The bigger the city the more poisoned it is.
