Thanks for taking the time to make this. I am in the middle of a pedal build with a friend and this will help.

Are you sure about the working of transistors / valves?? I have learned that valves are voltage controlled current devices.
Aside from that I had a VOX fuzz when I was young, I suppose it was a V 1.5. I got it around the time it came out, together with a VOX AC30 Top Boost. Happy times 🙂
At that time I/we were not aware of the guitar volume controlling the Fuzz pedal.

I enjoyed your video. Where did you obtain the round transistor sockets?

    The right bias TB MKII:
    21:50
    Q2c: -0.15V / -0.22V
    Q3c: -7.0V / -8.5V

Scott, Unfortunately, it isn't as simple as that. You have to reverse the polarity of the electrolytic capacitors too. Check out Fuzzdog's instructions, which are free to download.

Great video. Thanks for doing it and providing such usual info. I plan to build a Ge Fuzz soon but looking to find one that delivers the sound I want.
Do you know of a kit that can get the tone like Pete Thorn gets from the Constellation when he rolls down the Strat volume at around 3:35?

He calls it a "glassy highs thing."
I will watch the other video you mention early in the video in case the sound I am after is missing.

Hi, That is a GREAT sounding pedal and I particularly like the Rangemaster into Fuzz Face setting that Pete favours. Thanks for highlighting it. I have had a look for a kit that does what the pedal does without any luck so far but I'm tempted to build just the Rangemaster and FuzzFace circuits into a pedal on the strength of that demo.

@@CrackingtheChord Right now I am looking at the Aion Effects kits. They have several 'flavors' of fuzz. I was initially leaning towards the Solaris (Dallas-Arbiter) but now I am leaning more towards the Deimos (VTB 1.5/2). I built a GGG Big Muff which is Silicone and cannot get the clean tone I want.
I may ultimately by a used Constellation though :)
Whatever happens I AM getting the Quantum (Mostortion) kit!
