Yes!!! These are great! And part 2 videos as well. I am preparing for my insturment and trying to get a feel for the types of questions an examiner will ask
Best mock oral I've ever seen! I've suffered through quite a few of these, but you guys are quick, know your stuff, and don't have a single "Probably" or "Maybe" between the two of you! The instructor was also quick to complete any partial answers, and left no questions for me as a viewer. Thanks for your guys' help!
Very good mock test. It is the best I've seen. However, we need to consider that this guy is a genius. There were many questions including numbers that many of us wouldn't remember. Also, I don't think some questions are necessary. As an Airline pilot, I would say some questions we're asked could be changed by more important and relevant ones.
I saw an argument recently for being *over* an overcast layer and being able to log it as actual. Because while you can see outside, you can't navigate by looking outside and you cant use clouds for any sort of orientation. But you can also fly VFR over an overcast layer as a non-ir private pilot, so, I'm doubtful.
You can as far as I’m aware, log actual above the clouds. Because it only requires you’re flying solely by reference to the instruments. As a private pilot you’re not flying solely by reference to instruments, because you’re not rated to, nor are you on an IFR flight plan.. however using the clouds as a horizon isn’t advisable because the clouds may not be level. This is called the false horizon illusion.
Extremely bad sound … recorder you too loud distorted and him he is the the shore responding MODE bad bad because he combine with very very shore and low voice super bad
just the ODP question.
its 200ft per NM climb
I think the short simple answers he’s giving is the best way to do it.
Mock oral videos are the best thing to happen to flight training.
Should we keep making more? Maybe for the following checkrides?

This is the first mock I’ve seen that the guy actually knew his stuff

Thanks for the compliment!
one of the best mock check rides I have seen with 100% correct responses
This is the best mock oral checkride video I have ever watched! I especially appreciate the crystal-clear sound quality.
Hey that's so encouraging to hear! Thanks for letting us know!
Def need a part 2 please! Lots of Private pilot vids on this account but this guy is a great example of how you should be knowledge wise for IFR
this guy really knew his stuff
Yeah!
I wasted my time watching mock checkrides. This guy was pretty good
@@Weeeeeeelpwas it really a waste to watch ifr mocks?! Bc I have a test coming up and that’s what I’m doing 😅😂
FAA has a vid on the VORs. Basically... GPS is making direct paths, and they don't need as many Vicor Airways anymore.
I believe this isn't really true. You must have a backup system if GPS goes out. It's in the regulations.
Just got my PPL today, ready to see what I’m getting into next!
Studying for my instrument checkride. This video helped so much. Kudos to the student as well. Thank you guys !
This is great. These mock oral check rides are super helpful.

Have my IR ride coming up, this made me very confident.
So glad to hear you're feeling confident. How did your IR ride go?
@@pilotessentials passed with flying colors, flying through commercial figuratively and literally
Where is part 2?
The other one is when carrying passengers for compensation or hire on cross country flights greater than 50 nautical miles or at night.
Did you guys post part 2?
This was awesome. Is part 2 available soon?
I love this mock Checkride! This instructor is sucked frets chill guy from all his videos. And this student is very knowledgeable too! 🎉❤
200 feet/MILE, not per minute for the diverse departure
He answered correctly. He said climb gradient not ft/mn
We need part 2!
Great video. One correction on SIDs (23:02): according to AIM 5-2-9, SIDs are "always depicted graphically".
11:14 Juneau, AK has an LDA.
Very Helpful! thank you
So glad!
Thank you for sharing.
Excellent session. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!

It’s not 200’/min it’s 200’/nm. You cleared it up after a bit but the initial statement was not correct.
Part 2??
very helpful, thanks.
Waiting for part 2
It's not 200 foot per minute climb. It's 200 foot per nautical mile
At 17:30? yeah, you''re right.
What does mean Mock?
It means pretend, or practice. Acting as if it was the real thing for the sake of practicing.
@@pilotessentials got it. Thanks!
I would be that relax too if my DPE was Kermit the frog 🐸 all jokes aside thanks for this video
