I did decline the series of operations , because i knew the vision was already skewed from the first detachment and subsequent laser surgery . It is now three years later and the retina is re-attaching on its' own . I have peripheral vision in that eye , but the central vision is clouded .
Thank you was looking for this information had a detachment retina in right eye 5 days ago wasnt sure on the side poistion when i can get up etc and fly.thank you.I hope I dont have any more need for surgery was an emergency within 2 days had it was so lucky
@@sophiesnooks I had the surgery, Macular Hole, last Thursday. No issues at all. surgery was a breeze with zero pain. The not so fun part is having to remain face-down for 3-5 days. Not difficult, just boring.
@@evopwrmods I mainly drank from a straw, however, I allowed myself to sit normal to eat, drink, use the restroom, and shower. Other than taking a shower, I was never looking forward for more than 5 minutes for 5 days straight. It wasn’t awful, just boring. I read and watched a lot of things on the iPad. @@tnkygirl1774 I see 3 of the pepper specks too 3 weeks after and they used Silicone on me. Dr. says it will go away on its own but I doubt it. They are not so small, he didn't remove all the oil on the second surgery, these are not gas tiny bubbles that will disappear. I'm seeing double vision now and I have a cataract on the eye already so I am not happy right no. I will need another surgery soon to get this cataract removed. I cannot see out of that eye now at all, its all a blur plus double vision with my glasses on. I hope your outcome is better than mine. God Bless.
Yes😮. I do not understand the posturing. I am having the vitrectomy, and the posturing is the main thing I am really about. I have no idea how I will handle it.
Also! They should give the patient full disability benefits after this surgery. I don’t want to waste the little vision I have on s meaningless activity
is there some strange reason why I can only find ONE video showing how a patient will see, right after a vitrectomy surgery? A simulation. I'd LIKE for my friends & family to see what I've been through........................................................................................but, no doctors seem to think that would be a good thing to post. @@beableish I have cataract now right after the gas bubble disappeared plus double vision 3.5 weeks after surgery. So I think it takes longer than 4 weeks like they say to recover. Probably more like 4 months.

How long does it take to see an improvement in vision after vitrectomy surgery?
@willdebiec829,I had gas bubble on June 1st my vision is okay but I do see a few like pepper specks.
@@tnkygirl1774 My vision is still blurry in my right eye after 3.5 months.

Has anyone had optic disc pit malcopathy surgery?
Is hearing buzzing sound and hearing less a common thing after this surgery of the side of the eye surgery
what would that have to do with the ear at all?
the posturing would be the discomfort...how can people do that?

You give a lot of reasons to decline the operation . Why not sedate the patient for 5 days and nights ?
