The day after my surgery my vision was so much better and everything seemed so sharp and crisp. All was great until my 2 week follow up, they dilated my eyes and my vision went dull and quite blurry. My 4 week they dilated my eyes 4-5 times as they said they wouldn’t dilate enough. Did the laser thing behind my eyes, eyes were hugely dilated for 4 days and vision was terrible. Now I’m to go on Friday for final laser and of course dilation. I’m terrified to go in case my sight is even worse afterwards. I am a private pay and I’m into this for over 11 thousand dollars. Please, help me, what should I do?

I had mine in Feb with oil then had to have that removed a month later because the pressure was (47) high so he then put the bubble in and that lasted 10 days now my vision is double. He says the muscle got injured with his injection to numb the eye so now he gave me steroids starting today for a few weeks. I hope this gets better because I am wearing a patch every day to prevent from falling, feel so disabled. Taking a shower is a nightmare...when I take off the patch if I open the eye I feel dizzy and sometimes a headaches wants to start so I have to put my glasses on quickly which has the patch attached. If the Macular hole would not have progressed as they say it would have I would have stayed like I was. At least i could see better than this and not in debt and could go back to work. Will I heal and recover my full vision? Has anyone heard of this happening? This Dr has done this for 37 years so how can this happen?

Yes. My doctor and I went over all of the poses I do one by one. She told me which were okay and which were not. Basic rule is, do not allow your head be lower than your heart. That raises interocular pressure (IOP). Also, sleep on a wedge pillow so your head is above your heart all night. In general, there are no yoga positions that are beneficial for glaucoma. Just ones that are okay and ones that will do damage.

@@tnkygirl1774 I see 3 of the pepper specks too 3 weeks after and they used Silicone on me. Dr. says it will go away on its own but I doubt it. They are not so small, he didn't remove all the oil on the second surgery, these are not gas tiny bubbles that will disappear. I'm seeing double vision now and I have a cataract on the eye already so I am not happy right no. I will need another surgery soon to get this cataract removed. I cannot see out of that eye now at all, its all a blur plus double vision with my glasses on. I hope your outcome is better than mine. God Bless.
