Two of my favorite Limeys, despite one wearing a Yankee cap and the fact that they're always playing American guitars. They've been hiding in the netherworld or something.
Beautiful they are ,was lucky to play one,it just played itself ,then the owner told me how old it was,i gave him the guitar straight back in shock scared to death ,he said kindly its guitar meant for playing, was so nice
Love the new format, and what a great pair of guitars to start it off!! Lovely playing, totally enjoyed it (and great to have the keys adding!) Looking forward to more!
Great format for a show, I hope this series continues. Rock and Roll Circus has some pretty decent clips of Clapton with Dirty Mac, playing his 335. Too long without posting, Thanks.
Wonderful guitars. I have a 1991 Gibson 59 reissue ES 355. I bought it new at Sam Ash in NYC. It’s a great guitar, not as nice as a real 59 but close enough for me. 👍
I’ve got the same 1991 335 in cherry. Love it. Love the show as well, good to have it back. The production values seem improved too, well lit with good audio and editing.
As much as I like red and sunburst, nothing beats a blonde for looks, or a black body for coolness. Looking forward to the shows where a 330, 345, and a 355 appear.
Nylon or Tusq saddles can be helpful in preventing string breakage on a Gibson. I've been playing mostly SG's, when I play electric, since the mid 60's anyway, but I cannot remember what gauge strings electric guitars from the 50's & early 60's came strung with new from the factory. Does anyone recall? I have always used what today we would call 12's on my electrics. I remember using Gibson Mono Steel mediums a lot in the 70's. I think they were basically "12's". At any rate I know that I never used a plain 3rd string, always wound. I suppose that today people might refer to the electric strings I use as Jazz sets.
Both examples are incredible, thanks for sharing! I prefer the cherry finish, but have to come down on the side of the burst where the voicings are concerned. Just my opinion, and thanks guys!
I'm happy to see both of you back at it again! Beautiful guitars! 🎸
Incredible guys , brilliant show ❤
Great show, I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!
Guitars, beer, and Bob & Ramon.....what more do you need! Welcome back gents.
Amen - thanks Tim

And as a Yank, I have to Google what Bob meant when he said, "Bit pony, isn't it?"
I'm always happy to see you two talk about vintage guitars. Welcome back Bob!
My favorite style of guitar. Thanks for the rundown guys.

One of the best shows yet.....love..love ..love the close ups of the guitars, more the better.....the sound mix was great also.
The '59 is my dream guitar as it is my birth year but, both examples are exquisite !! Thank you for sharing these with us gentlemen !

Alvin Lee's Woodstock 335 was a 59 renecked by Gibson with a late sixties neck after the original was broken.
Many thanks indeed
Love this show, they need to be longer though!!!
Thank you 🙏

Cherry 🍒 baby for me
I prefer to fret neck than inlay so it's dots for me. YMMV. 🙂
Hello friends ! 😊🤟
If Ramon was left handed y all would have more room 10-4 👍👍
