Thanks, I use the M5 for almost all my 'studio' reviews. It is connected to my Rode Rodecaster and I simply sync the audio to the video when I edit. I think the sound quality from this mic is excellent.
Thank you for this, new Yoga studio owner here, (planning to use these for guided meditations, singing mantra chants, and also playing Himalayan bowls. I just got my matched set today with the stereo bar and stand. I didn't realize I needed to order plugs and am so glad to find you. I'm going to watch your zoom H6 recorder review now! I'm new and just started using my rode wireless ME for yoga class online. Again, glad to find you! I'm planning to use this on a mac book pro. I'm hoping the H6 is the missing link!
I was buying somemicrophones after watching some reviews and was disappointed by the performance of my microphone because on the reviews The sound was always perfect and in order to get that kind of sound I have had to do a post processing I find this channel very helpful because I can get a true sound in a review Thanks 😘
As you went off the side and spoke I noticed the M5 was a little more directional than say the M2 which is a good thing in a live performance scenario and didn't fail too miserably as you moved away in front. This is important if one is swinging a tamborine and doesn't want to risk striking the mic. Setup in this scenario would benefit from a bit more gain, yet by the sound of it, should still not pickup live ambient sound too much and not sure if they would benefit from a HPF it that scenario? Although they are a matched pair, two seperate string, or percussion instruments can be picked up in mono channels, from a mini boom lower down on the vocal mic stands. As a matched pair, they are designed to work as a stereo pair on a dual mount mostly, but cost effective and doable as above as well. These are definately on my shopping list with M2 mics and Yamaha MG12XU. I considered dynamic M1 mics with these, but I am working with children and younger, less powerful voices. Will just have to be careful with the phantom powering down before plugging and unplugging.
love your video, I love Rode as well and use the rodecaster for recording audio in my video productions as well - its awesome!!! loved your review of the Rode M5 mic

Many thanks, I try really hard to be authentic and not 'bend' the truth. I really do love Rode products and the M5 truly is a great little mic.
You're really good at projecting your voice without shouting. Very cool. I'm trying to learn how to do that, how to get louder, at the moment.
Came for a decent look at the matched M5s and stayed and subbed.
Cheers, man!
Hello from 🏴
Thanks, very much appreciated.
When it cut to silence...
Impressive!
It was abrupt, a little jarring, but effective!

Love Rode, they replaced 1 of my mics after I’d owned it for literally 9.5 years
Thanks Larry David, you're always up to something.
Great video! I'm surprised this isn't a more popular mic for creators.
Thanks very much for taking the time to make this review dude. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Thx for reviewing these!!

Very helpful. Thank you 😊
About the camera in frame (top right corner) is that the Kodak 616 ?
Great review, Bob! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Boss, can U suggest a Phantom power adaptor, external for M5, required for feild recordings
This is great thank you
Thank you for your review! One question: Does the Rode M5 need only phantom power from the Zoom or does it also require batteries?
No batteries, just phantom power required
Great video thanks
Get it as close to the source as possible - that is terrible advice.
