That looked like a fun family daycation, with plenty of things for the kids and adults too.

We stayed there for a week at end of may, the May gray is REAL and a huge bummer since we live in seattle ( and see it ALL the time )but really enjoyed the tropical setting. It's a neat place !, food options are not ideal and be prepared for add on charges like most resort style hotels. if you're into 5 swimming pools and lush tropical garden grounds to walk and enjoy...it's worth the price IMO.

This used to be an amazing place. We'd go every year up until last year since 2010. The service isn't what it used to be (pre pandemic was amazing). The cost is way higher now. That is probably a result of inflation and the million dollar fine they had to pay recently. It's also no longer a private resort . The public is allowed to venture in now (This is part of the fine they had to pay). Before you had to have a reservation. If you go at the wrong time then you'll find that businesses use this place for your their company conferences and they often overlap. It has become too saturated with people. We also noticed this last time that there are warning signs in the water areas of hazardous chemical runoffs to the water and is recommended not to swim. We didn't notice until after the kids had been swimming for half the day. I was very disappointed and saddened to say the least. If you want to have a bon fire, then you need to grab one early on or else people will hijack the one in front of your room (weekends or holidays mostly), if you paid for a water front. Or you can fork out the extra money for your own personal pit, but you will pay a premium ($1k/night). This place was a jewel for us. It kills me that I will have to tell the kids that we are going to try somewhere else this coming summer. It is definitely a place to visit, if you haven't been before. For us, unfortunately, it's a shadow of its former self.

I still think the resort is great with the kids but the rooms could use a little refresh

@@BernMcGovern I thought It was a good length, since its just a glimpse of one spot.
Your newer video showcasing Annie's canyon is the same. I feel its great to do a quick highlight and let us who's interest is piqued go and experience the full thing ourselves.
