Keep the wire ties for cable management if you can't tuck into sides. I personally used glove box wrap excess wires and tucked in near there. But pretty clear image 😊
On the paper it comes with it states it's to invert the camera. Just cut it when it's time to invert. I'm assuming it's for when the kids face forward later on in time.
Not sure how else you’d do it - Bluetooth connections and big bulky batteries? Then you’d be turning them on and off all the time, this way it powers on when the car does and you don’t worry about charging it or losing connection.

My 2019 Mazda still has one, most cars do, and there’s an identical usb option in the box if you prefer that.
