That year model had bad fuel pumps in them. I had a lone star with the same problem.
My HD8 is doing the same thing. Will not accelerate for shit. I was thinking bad gas. But now that you mention the fuel pump...
My hd8 did that and it was the speed sensor

2018 defender... Cranks up fine idols, OK. But soon as you try to give it gas, it jumps and sputters and Spitz. Nobody's got a good idea, I guess.
Fuel pump is weak
Did u get the issue resolved? I have the same issue. Mine has 150 hrs and 1300+ miles. I'm thinking valves need adjustment.

Before you changed and fixed the machine did you ever do a fuel pressure test?
I did before I put a fuel pump in. The fuel pressure was to low so the old pump was bad

@@marcusmarcush3210 I believe 60 to 80 and mine was at 20. But might google it to make for sure.
The same problem in my tractor. I changed the fuel pump and after 6 months it happened again
So far we haven’t had anymore problems
what fuel pump did you get? factory or aftermarket? mines doing the same thing
