    The pressure relief check valve is BRP 513033469. I would definitely try cleaning it first. That has seemingly fixed my machine.

      Pretty sure my fuel pump just died on my 2023 renegade 1000xxc with only 300 miles

      Fuse....

    I replaced the intake vent lines one-way valve with a 50-micron fuel filter to allow it to vent both ways, then I put those caps for pit bike gas caps on the vent lines for all of the lines under the gauge cluster so hopefully less water might work its way down them over time. This means now my gas tank is at or near no pressure inside. This also allow me to know that once I start smelling gasoline while riding it is a good time to stop and allow the gas inside the tank to cool down before I risk blowing a 5a fuel pump fuse again since it had happened to both my quads at the same time on the same hill. Just my $0.02.

    Happened to me too on the weekend. 2021 Outlander 850. Herd that strange whine for the first time, did for an hour or so and when i shut the machine off it wouldn't start again. I thought it was the fuel pump or fuse. Checked the fuse and was good so i started walking came back to tow it out of the bush 4 hours later and it fired up. Thanks for the informative video, now i know what to look for when hearing that sound again in the future.

      So when it shut off is the fix to just open the gas cap and then put it back on and restart the engine

      Yes. That's what works for me.

    My 850 was doing that after a 34 mike ride. I opened the cap and is had a huge rush of air. The 850 just left me stranded and shut off while riding 13 miles from a trail head. Really disappointed with can am. Never had a problem in 9 years with my polaris.

    The buzzing sound stop, and pressure built up. Fuel vaporized and shot up almost two feet. When I removed the fuel cap. And it almost blew up.

    Man. Mine is a 2022 outlander 570 and it’s been doing this for over a year. Annoying to say the least, but I’d crack my gas cap and it would stop. Well yesterday I heard it and cracked the cap open. It died didn’t start for like 10 minutes. Fuel pump always lets me know it’s working. Yesterday hot day here in Arkansas slow trail riding smelt fuel fumes, and pump was whiring so that’s why I cracked the gas cap open. Anyhow. After ten minutes I let it sit. Bc between that time the pump would moan vaguely and quit. Not like it’s normal. So I may need a pump too. Quality these days is sadly bad. But it’s the first time I’m nearly 2 years it’s gave me a issue. I like the crap out of my can am.

      Check my post. It made that sound and it must be clogged up.

    My 2016 had the same issue

    my 2018 570 had a recall as this line could bind up and build up too much pressure (guess someone had it spray gas on release). never had an issue on mine so never took it in. to my knowledge it doesn't have a check valve but it is routed through the cross member but goes further and routes down the framing close to the rear gearbox. kinda curious if you are smelling fumes

    • @TrailPass
      @TrailPass  ปีที่แล้ว

      No smell at all. It's releasing such a small amount of fumes plus that's a really well ventilated area

      Just recently did the exact same thing as you did and ran the fuel line vent tube to the front and made sure to keep clear of moving parts and engine area, but I still have a faint noise and smelling more fumes than before. I may drill a hole in gas cap and silico ne fuel breather hose to it to help alleviate fumes. Dirt bikes have them on the gas caps....what are your thoughts. I ran my relief hose up to the left side of console dash due to electrical components and hopefully no spark

    My 850 did it today, 450km on the clock. After about a 5 km slow climb up a trail I stopped and heard the whine.. loosened the cap and massive vacuum in the tank, the tank area was extremely hot from the exhaust and engine so I wonder if those clear lines are collapsing from the heat?

      When the check valve that I relocated was plugged with debris, my fuel tank built a lot of pressure too. I'm thinking that is still the culprit. No issues with this setup yet even with the dusty, hot conditions that we've had lately.

    Which way does the arrow on the check valve go.

    • @Cleanroom_Dude
      @Cleanroom_Dude 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Usually check valves indicate flow direction. So if it is on the exhaust line, the arrow will point to the open end of the line. If it is on the intake, it would point to the gas tank.

    What is that accessory seat cover & is it any good?

    • @TrailPass
      @TrailPass  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Is the Mad Dog/ Coleman Seat cover on Amazon (link in the description of the video, I think it's under the Kodiak Parts). It does OK. I just mainly use it for around my house so the Seat isn't so hot. I don't normally use it for trail riding as it gets really dirty.

    What is the actual part name of the “exhaust for your fuel tank”

    • @TrailPass
      @TrailPass  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the pressure relief check valve for the fuel system. The BRP part number is 513033469.
