Dina, recently I gifted myself an air fryer and wanted to use this recipe. it came out great! I love the oil trick to get the skin crispy. Once again thanks! - JL
I just want to thank you so much for this simple and easy recipe. Before I forget, I didn't have brown sugar on-hand, so I substituted with real honey. Also, I did as you suggested, I left the marinated thighs in big bowl in the fridge overnight. My roommate cleared the plate. Next time, I will smother them with BBQ sauce. I can't wait❣
Thank you so much . I was gifted a second hand Ninja air fryer and I have been overwhelmed not using it correctly. I happen to have all the ingredients and you made it very clear in easy steps . FYI I am 50 and this is first cooking related video I have ever watched ! Loved it
1:21 Seasoning 1 tsp salt 2 tsp paprika 3 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp dried thyme 1 tsp brown sugar Just tried this tonight with my first attempt using an air fryer. This was right on the money. For reference, I used a Cosori Turboblaze.
I tried this and it was a great recipe, thank you. In the future, I will cut way back on the Thyme. I found out that ground Thyme is not the same as the seed Thyme, so mine didn't turn out so good. Probably will increase the brown sugar, too. Thank you for an easy recipe, though. Keep up the simple cooking! Love your channel!
Thank you for being so straightforward with this!! As much as I love a cast iron seared chicken thigh finished in the oven, I just haven't had the time to take my time with dinners anymore 💔 But I am now, for the 4th time, reusing this method because the chicken has come out so crispy yet juicy on the inside and I just might do this forever now lol. Thanks a million!!

Today, I had to cook my skin-on chicken or risk losing it, so I went to TH-cam to find out whether to cook it in my air fryer or Instant Pot. I chose the air fryer after seeing your video, and am I glad I did! I followed your recipe fairly closely (though I will admit to being less concerned with using measuring devices than you), except I did not have any onion powder. So I used yours as a basis and made what I call my "little-bit-of-this-little-bit-of-that" spice. The four pieces of chicken that came out at the other end of the process are absolutely the best I have made in a VERY long time. No wonder it has become your 'go-to' chicken recipe. For me, it will be hard indeed not to just eat the chicken with nothing else. It makes yours a subscribable channel! Next step....DONUTS!

I'm still kinda new to the air fryer lid so I'm not sure how I would convert regular air fryer recipes. Thanks in advance! I have the IP duo crisp btw.
Mine didnt came up all that great. 18 minutes of cooking on 190 celzius didnt seem enough, some of them were a bit undercoocked in the middle and the skin needed like 5-10 more minutes as well. I am new to cooking so it might be on my side but doesnt chicken need a bit more time tu fully cook in the inside ?
In your airfryer salmon recipe video, you mentioned you preferred your oven style airfryer for meats. Is there a reason you chose to use your basket style one here? I only have oven style airfryer, so I'd love it if you could suggest modifications to use that type. Thank you!
Hi :) I actually use both of them. I got the basket kind of air fryer since a lot of people were confused by seeing the oven style and kept saying it was a toaster oven. So for videos I only use the basket type. Cooking salmon in the oven air fryer is easier since you don't have to try to pick it up out of the basket. You can honestly use either one for any recipe. I feel like the oven style of air fryer runs a little hotter/faster. So these chicken thighs may cook a little faster (1-3 minutes). However, even every air fryer can have slight differences. The only modification would be to check it a little before you take them out and check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to make sure its done. I hope that helps clarify and I hope you love this recipe! :)
@@jiberri You are very welcome! I would put foil on the drip tray that is under the chicken. this way you get more circulation around the chicken it self. This way the chicken is on the rack directly :)
That looks really good, do you think adding a tsp of corn starch would make it crispier or should i only use corn starch on breaded chicken? Thanks for the recipe.
Thank you Steven! You can definitely add a little cornstarch! I do that to my air fryer chicken wings too. Here is the recipe video if you want to give it a try as well 😊 th-cam.com/video/vQhDjcNCfEQ/w-d-xo.html
