Timely review sir as I've just had my first soup of the winter, a Heinz Big Soup (which I'm convinced is far smaller in evey way than 30 years ago...), not overly special, and made me wonder if Lidl did a version seeing as I made one of my occasional trips to Lidl just yesterday derr. Looks like Heinz and Lidl have identical meeat content, yet Lidl is half the price. I'll be buying some on next visit. Btw, I like mint, the wife doesnt not, seems best to have a low mint content just in case. (PS have you tried Lidl Lasagne Delux, we think its easily the best, meatiest, most filling lasagne in any supermarket, yet also one of the cheapest, and unlike some not too spicy or peppery etc). PPS you've cooked it far too hot, just a light slow simmer is best, or will lose the taste.
My favourite soup is mulligatawny, And when I was in the army working as ration store man I would always have the cook sergeant to make that, he always said I don't know why I ask you, you always say the same.
Should be vegetable and lamb with lamb being a smaller proportion, there are several products that do this such as Olive spread that is only 10% olive oil.
Maybe I'm older than you, but ever since I was a kid (in the 60s/70s, when we had roast lamb more often than chicken etc as was the cheapest!), the lamb joint invariably came from New Zealand as that was the "norm", part of the Commonwealth and all that, not sure about nowadays but then NZ was a FAR bigger lamb producer than the UK, and we lived not far from Welsh Wales where sheep were and still are farmed, but I guess nowadays British lamb is aimed at more "upmarket" things than mere soup ?
It has a decent amount of Meat and Vegetables too Jason... Lamb (8%), Mutton (3%)... As well as a variety of Mixed Vegetables (35%)... Including... Carrots (35%), Potatoes (30%), Onions (15%), Marrowfat Peas (9%), Green Beans (8%)... Priced at £1.10 for 400g. 👍
@@LetsTalk_ManUtd Not really mate... They're very close though... But the Bramwells only has a 7% mixture of Lamb & Mutton... The Asda version has an 11% mixture of Lamb & Mutton... That's where the extra 11p is going... You're getting an extra 4% Lamb & Mutton in the Asda version. 👍
@@LetsTalk_ManUtd Sorry mate... I meant to put Newgate rather than Bramwells... But I've just gone back and paused the part showing the ingredients on the label... And it states that Tomatoes are listed as 11%... And the Lamb & Mutton content as 7%... So the Asda version actually has over 50% more Lamb & Mutton than the Newgate version... But i guess that if people are happy with the slightly cheaper version... They'll keep on buying it... And those that are happy to pay a little more for a higher meat content... Will keep buying the Asda version... As i think that they're probably pretty much the same in their overall taste as one other. 👍
I like pretty much any food, but I hate the taste of mint. It really annoys me that pretty much whenever you see products with lamb there is always mint involved!
i thought they were 69p soup has become too expensive. for in most cases coloured water. the 0.1% mint is not even 0.5 g of mint needs more. But far better than the fray Bentos soup. the veg vary mean they can change them to what ever is the cheapest Heinz in farmfoods £1. you could thickening it with a spoon or two of mash potato to make it more filling but even just add a can of water then build bulk up with some finely cut bread cubes. you need to get more than 1 bowl from it then its more filling
Deano No1 FOOD REVIEW AND TRAVEL CHANNEL'S MY OPINION. LIDL TINNED SOUPS 🍲 WELL WORTH THE MONEY CHICKEN AND VEGETABLE MY GO TO AND AS GOOD AS HENIZ BIG SOUP. PLEASE DON'T BOIL YOUR SOUP JUST WARM IT SLOWLY AS IT TASTE BETTER 😋
😂😂😂 have you ever seen anyone so depressed with the soup being low fats and low sugars 😂😂😂😂😂😂 you could see the cognitive process literally shut down for about 5 seconds 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I may try it hope you’re well
Love ❤ any type of Soup 🍲 Deano yummy 😋 🎉
ive had that soup its quite nice
As someone who loves lamb but can't stand mint sauce this is ideal for me. You've got mint sauce so just add it to your liking Deano.👍
Exactly!
They can add, but we can't take away.
I think the 0.1% mint in it would put me off it
Nice video Deano soup looks good ❤
Time of year for a chunky soup.i had leftover pasta and put a tin of mushroom soup into it.🤤
Did you put mushroom soup in it, because your a fungi?!

Oxtail is MY FAVOURITE SOUP .SOMETIMES I ADD A TIN TO MY STEW OR MINCE BEEF JUST UPLIFTS IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL 😋
My mum used to use oxtail soup as gravy sometimes.

Try the chicken one
That's funny I am from New Zealand and we sure had a lot of sheep growing up. They have less sheep there now ❤

Good post so sad when we import lamb from New Zealand

A lovely vlog. Perfect soup for a cawd day.
Did anyone notice the address on the label, it's made by Princes
Did you taste the lamb or the mutton. ?
After a quick Google it seems Asda do their own Chunky Minted Lamb Soup if you wanted to do a review of it Deano ?

That soup ended up in mint condition! 🤣
Hope ewe enjoyed the lamb soup, and it didn't pull the wool over your eyes and send you to sheep?!
That's absolute bargain there for a hearty meal/snack.

I am Dutch, I have no idea, please tell me, what on earth is Mulligatawny soup???
