I have had them before I bought them from Heron Frozen Food they were selling them under there Xsell range and they were 6 for £1.50 so I thought I would give them a whirl and I wish I had bought another couple of packets but it's always a gamble buying from the Xsell range and as you know when its gone it's gone usually to never return. The thing you need to watch though is to make sure they are cooked in the middle especially when they are frozen.

I use to love Kiev's but the garlic butter just comes back up so i tend to stay away from them.

I did have to laugh at this one. Mr 'Don't like tapas' Deano eating cod & chorizo fishcakes. Or Croquetas con bacalhao y chorizo, one of the popular tapas dishes found in Spain. 🤣🤣

Get the little pots of harry ramsdens chip shop curry from Iceland you get 2 pots that way you can just microwave them when you want a pot to go with your fish and chips.

These were nice, but I prefer the sweet chilli and salmon fish cakes.

I love the melt in the middle ones. They are so moist. However, if anyone does make a mistake (as we all d0) chooses to buy "normal" fishcakes then a quick fix to keep them moist is, after cooking make and pour over some parsley sauce - job done. Bisto make a damn good parsley sauce in their gravy granule range.

Cod and chorizo are perfect partners. Lovely job, Deano!

If I buy a lot of reduced items with a short use by/sell by date and I don't want to eat them straight away, and it says not suitable for home freezing I cook them and then freeze them for warming up at a later date, I have had no problems that way.

If I had got these I would have been really disappointed that were not spicy hot. Who wants to eat a spicy rice bowl if it is not hot & spicy. Korean spicy noodles are! Great find Deano, glad you liked them.

I have a tub of Gochujang paste in my fridge, it enhances anything savoury and doesn't have to be Korean cuisine. just adds a little extra oomph. 😀

Deano, you just needed to add a fried egg into your bowl. You also need Doenjang Korean Soybean Paste (Brown Color), together with GOCHUJANG (Red Color) to make a truly Korean Meal.
