I started to hard reset per your instructions because my tablet would wake up upon touch but would not recognize my passcode. I couldn't power it off either(without passcode). I pushed the power and volume down key and before it went to the manual option, it appeared that it was going to restart. So I just let it restart and once it restarted it started recognizing my passcode again! I'm not sure if it was a fluke or not but once again it's working! So thank you. With only two buttons on the side I didn't know where to start. Once again, thank you very much!

I posted that comment 2 months ago and haven't had a problem since. This video helped me. If you are having "ISSUES" maybe you should rewatch the video or look for a video that is a little "SLOOOWER" that you can understand.
