Very Nice! Miss Hawaii....Southern California is beautiful too but just not the same. However, surfing with friends and the "ear to ear smile" never changes.....Cheers, B

todd mitsui was one of the best amateur's in the late 80's. He would dominate Courts/Concessions..

Yeah, Queen's is one of the most easiest waves to surf. Super fun....
nice video 5 star
might have a few - summer is when waikiki is good, south shore. North shore like pipeline is up in winter time.

I LOVE TOWN!
Silly question maybe but are you, at times filming while surfing a wave?
If so, that's some amazing skill.
Loads of respect for that kind of ability.
And, I love this clip.
Thanks so much !
yeah, surfing will indeed change your life in a good way. try it someday...
we have all kind of surf in hawaii but most spots are pretty far out. got to paddle....
thanks for the comment. hope you will be able to experience hawaii and its people in the near future. always welcomed. mahalo.
yeah, you really should take japanese in school. you surely could use it in hawaii. it's good to communicate with people from different countries. forming friendships. that's what it's all about...
Thanks Ill check it out
there should still be some waves in september. it's never flat in waikiki... enjoy hawaii!!!
haha i love the music i know its brother israel i listen to somewhere over the rainbow and stuff like that.. so please respond if u can thank u
Hi.. does Waikiki get some nice waves in september? I'll be there 13th - 20th. Ive been there once in May, it was great, but I know summer is best. Great video.. Mahalo!
no waters in the world can compare to hawaii. crystal clear, blue, and warm all year around... mahalos...
there are so many cool things to do here. beach, hike, shop, or just chill out. and yes, your the first person i met that hates hawaii. are you still a kid? to tell you the truth, i use to hate hawaii too. but now after traveling around the world, i realized hawaii is the best place. go to indonesia, the philippines, africa, and other third world countries and you will know what i mean. where you living now?
ahh sweet dude, im coming in 3 weeks!
thanks for the comment. yeah, waikiki is longboard paradise. hope to see you here someday. mahalo from hawaii....
june is the best time of year for waikiki!!! enjoy!!!
i use to live there in 1963 to 67 my dad was air force, there was like only 2 buildings on the beach then......
yeah, i went to university of hawaii. where else can you surf before school, during lunch, and after school? only in hawaii....
Surfing in Waikiki? I doubt that as it's waters are smooth as a lake compared to the other parts of the island
yeah, water park was designed for kids like me. and i can imagine surfing pipeline, waimea, and sunset beach being boring. your right dude....
thank you MrLee...
great choice dude... have a safe trip!!
you gotta love surfline yea ? haha
thanks for the comment. hope your having a great trip and maybe see you in the water.... mahalo...
Nice video man!! i never been to Hawaii but its one of my dreams,i really want to live there but i heard that life is pretty much expensive in Hawaii, is that true??
thanks for the comment. make your dream come true and come to hawaii. it's such a cool place... mahalo....
lot of people sharing waves out there... guess everyone is pretty friendly lol
hawaii is warm everyday!!! no need wetsuit...
yeah, pipeline isn't that far of a paddle. wait, i'll take that back. when it gets big, it takes time and poundings to get to the third reef.
yeah, the left's are good too.
altas ondas!!
yes, almost everything has to be brought in by air or ship and witgh limtied land how could it not be expensive?
@bsol07 if you live in irvine, you can surf in huntington beach, newport beach, or longboard in san onofre, down by san clemente. the waves are smaller in orange county, and the water gets down to about 50-55 degrees fahrenheit in the winter, so bring a wetsuit
i can also speak japanese because i studied it and took a class. also when i say south bay i mean southern california
an olympus waterproof dig cam i bought at costco for $160. hope that helps.
yeah, hawaii is kind of expensive. but when you wake up every morning to blue skies and tropical weather, it's worth every penny....
well, you better get straight A's then. don't blow this opportunity. waikiki doesn't get that big so don't worry. give me a shout before you come and i'll let you know where to go too. good luck in school...
@Buggerlugz000 ----real locals, that is, hawaiians,
are aware that they were not the targets of the pearl
harbor attack. also hawaii was already 1/3 japanese by
the time of the attack.
hey im 12 and going to hawaii in april and probably surfing in waikiki i ride a 6 foot al merrick and live in the south bay. sweet video, but i have a few questions. where is a good place me and my dad can rent boards? and how are the locals in the water and what is best place to surf for tourists .? im pretty good i can do snaps and cutbacks but thats about it um just curious thnks for your time if you respond, which would be great please so we can plan ahead btw homebreaks for me are el porto
thanks for the comment. hope you can make it here someday... mahalo
yeah, there are a lot of japanese living here. i guess you can't beat the weather.... mahalo for the comment....
ha ha the parking meter gave me memories of my trip in feb 08. it was 25 cents which is so cheap compared to prices in sydney. yay to 25c
hawaii is pretty expensive compared to the states. but it's all worth it!!!
surfline
thanks for the comment.. keep on surfing!!!
dude, beg your teacher. take your teacher cookies tomorrow. haha... good luck...
Is it expensive to live in Hawaii? Because i want to go there for college so that any time I have free time I can go surf.
cheers to you too.. thanks for the comment...
will probably be around. queen's, bowls, or kewalos will probably be the best. see ya....
mine too...
the bubble ones i made in youtube. look under video owner options and click on annotations. mahalo
no, the war was over a long time ago. most people in hawaii can forgive. and most people in hawaii know about how america dropped atom bombs on hiroshima and nagasaki. war sucks....
thanks a lot for the comment....
what is the music on the background ??
surfing queens was harder than i thought . the peaks kept on shifting from left to right. i got confused one time and me and one of the locals (a white american) kind of collided and it was my fault. he was quite aggressive and told me if i did it to the wrong guy out he'd get really pissed off. i didn't know that they could get so aggressive at waikiki. waikiki is awesome, but i hate how they get a bit too serious about their surfing sometimes. shit happens.
yes I am
You dont mind if i add you as a friend, i would like to ask you a few questions if you have the time?
what sort of camera are you using here?
thanks for the comment....
i make the captions either in imovie or youtube using annotations. check it out...
Are you from there?
@elcabecilha OK, maybe I assumed too, and im sorry but it's easy to take your comment offensively. Japanese people are cool. They have lots of respect, they just don't know da rules or etiquette of surfing, thats all. It's not that no one is going to hate them for that either. They are good peoples.
everybody speaks english in hawaii!!!
yup, bruddah iz is da man!!!
