I have no words for how much I appreciate Jon. Who would think a show about bars and alcohol could encourage people to be the best version of themselves? Thank you Jon.
I was at a Dominos picking up Pizza and when I paid, the machine automatically asked me about adding a tip. The cashier said, "God, I hate that thing. We are hourly/salaried workers, please don't leave a tip because I have to claim that on taxes and I'd rather not do that." Him and I started chatting about it. He said it only started when they switched to a new terminal for card transactions. It's a money grab by the company that makes the terminal. If you spend $20 at Dominos and that company takes 10%, they get $2. But if you spend $20 and add a 20% tip now it's $24 total and at 10%, they get $2.40. The company that makes the terminal wants you to tip every time because it raises their bottom line, not because it's a gratuity for service.
@@PhayzinOut And what logic is that? Tips don't go to Uncle Sam, a percentage of your income does. Nobody living on tip income are paying that much in taxes regardless, if they owe anything at all lol

The camera isn’t the problem, Taffer’s mic is. I have to turn the volume up every time he is talking, but I have to turn it down every time other people talk. It’s a horrible set up for a podcast. I can’t believe that they didn’t have a sound guy balancing the audio. Probably the lowest quality podcast I’ve heard.
my three big gripes with this podcast is; 1: them not having the camera focused on the person talking (or at least having a show with all four of them), 2: the audio levels are not consistent at all. 3: you can hear a ton of background noise so it's really distracting still honestly great to hear jon talk outside of the show, great perspective and makes me like him + the show even more
The audio levels are all over the place on this podcast. Put some headphones on so you can hear your levels and know when you're too close or too far from the mic and adjust accordingly. Otherwise, love Jon Taffer!
I also think they should focus the camera on the person talking. Jon was talking multiple times throughout the episode and the camera was just focused on the other two guys staring at him nodding their head. First time watching this podcast so idk if this is how it tends to be or not.
Nope ... just u can hear everything ... u to bored n have nothing to ... if u complaining bout volume that works .... get hobby or anything better ... u typing nothing and care cuz u just bleh .... get up go out or do anything but this
@billyjansen7690 just shut the hell up, he doesn't need to go get a hobby just because he stated that the videos sound levels are off. Its a fact the audio levels are weird asf in this video and they should always try to improve their videos. When you have a guest on your show you put the camera on them when they are talking. We don't want to look at them the whole time when they have guests.
As Jodan Peterson would say he's a disagreeable personality. He values getting things done more than feelings. He yelled to motivate people. He does not care if you move to work or move out of the job. If you leave he will get someone else. It's all about the job, nothing about the people.
@@danielstellmon5330 "It's all about the job, nothing about the people." And that's a GOOD thing! The people will always put themselves and their needs first, stroke their own egos and rationalize one failure after another while denying how much of their losses are entirely their fault.

I think this is a great podcast. However, there were times I thought my phone was frozen because it was only on the two of you. The one thing that throws me off a bit and takes a bit of the authenticity of Bar Rescue, is the cameras following the staff during recon and as Jon walks in. They seem shocked that he is there and his recon team is there despite a full camera crew being there. The rebuild feels authentic, but it surprises me that these places don't act "right" just like they do when DHEC is in town.
One thing about Jon... Be real with him, he'll be real with you and give you the tools for success ( Bar Rescue was here recently and did an AMAZING transformation on one of our local hangouts). Be a fake, forget it... he's GONE!
Jon is an industry professional (both bar AND film), but he's so passionate that he occasionally loses focus and gets too far away from the mic while speaking about his craft. I'm impressed by that level of enthusiasm, it's the mark of person who cares.
In Quebec Canada a 15% tip is added to your bar and food bill, it’s the law, you don’t have a choice to pay it. You can have shitty service, bad drinks and disgusting food, waiters with bad attitude, they don’t even care about you anymore, they know they will get their tips anyway.
I knew Canada was bad, but the governments over there make sure that you know they hate you and want you dead. In the US, they blow smoke up our butts while stealing our money.
