I was fine until you said you wouldn't recommend it for a first timer 🥺 but I'm going to give it a go. Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. I can't wait to get started. Hopefully I can get it done by Christmas!
Thanks for the video. Helped with a few steps but then you also skipped some steps that I was confused on. Had to take extra time to figure it out lol I wish my gears turned easily as yours did though
If you start all three screws by a couple of threads and then tighten them one at a time it’s always easier to do that than put one in and tighten it, put a second one in and tighten it and then the third one and tighten it.
I wish you would have shown the parts that you didn't Not sure what to do after the big spring is in....I did watch the directions scan for assembly video....
Brilliant video, been eyeing this one up for a while now, just made today and film jigzle carnival merry go round music box fiddly but looks good , keep them coming looking forward to seeing more
I appreciate this video. I’m following each step and this video and still stuck as to why my big gear won’t spin once I place the fourth panel. I’m on day two. My oldest daughter gave this to me as a gift. Actually she gave many of these as gifts to our family members and I think I’m freaking them out lol. They think if I can’t figure it out they won’t and wont bother to build theirs. 😢
Hello. I just built this music box but I'm having problems with the gear that connects the music box to the outer gears. I see that it needs a pressure point and I don't know what I could do to make it work well
Hi there I have just bought this from Amazon and I don’t know what paint to use or if I need to paint first before building? Or does it even need painting? This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this before and just wanted some advice re: worth painting? What type of paint? And should I paint before completing or after! I don’t have any paint at all as I have never done any modelling before in my life 😂 any advice is appreciated kind regards xx
Hi Susan, everything you need to make it is in the box , you dont need to paint it at all , if you want to you can , I would advise acrylic paint pens if you do , mine is unpainted. You will receive wax to use on the moving parts , I strongly advise you wax the teeth of the gears well to ensure best movement , other than that you are good to go ! Good luck and if you need any help feel free to ask 😊
@@buildingwiththeboys Aww 🥰 thanks so much for getting back to me!! So quickly. I’m staying with my 91 year old father at the moment so I bought this one on offer and bought my father the army jeep. We both have never tackled anything like this before! I don’t think now, after hearing from you that we should bother about painting (probably going to be the least of our worries when trying to assemble these models 😂) I think maybe at least try to build one first!! Thanks 🙏 so much for the advice re: getting the mechanism to perform correctly as have seen some others mentioned it’s bothersome. I think I will attempt it after the weekend as quite busy. I do appreciate your input and help though and it’s really kind of you to offer me any further help if needed! Kind regards, Susan Wish me luck 🍀 xx
So I got this for a Christmas gift, I followed your video and followed the directions. I finished it all but it won’t move and it takes time for the music to start. What do you think I did wrong or how can I fix it?
I am currently having the same issue. I think my main gear (the big one in the middle) is actually not leveled. As soon as I add the fourth panel it doesn’t want to move. I’m on day two and it’s getting a bit frustrating.
The first (and currently only) kit I have, that my Step Daughgter brought for me, is the Starry Night Music Box. Love it
I have that one too
That aperture like addition on top is amazing.

You will be fine , what I mean by that is that there are easier ones to start with , you will be ok

I appreciate the video! My kit didn’t come with the wax, so I’m hoping using a tea light candle will work 🤞

Thanks Jay, I just need the victorian lantern now to complete this set , look forward to seeing your carousel

Ordering one now
I’m up to 20:47 and I waxed the 💩 out of the big and smaller gears and it’s not working. Any other tips?

Are all of your components snug and pushed in , if its loose or leaning it won't connect
Hello, I finished making this but i noticed there was a part E3 that was unused. Do you know what it was for?
If you send me a pic of it to buildingwiththeboys@outlook.com I may be able to tell you
Which one would you recommend for a first time build?
Orpheus the robot or Seymour are good first builds
@@buildingwiththeboys thank you

Did you wax all of the parts
@@buildingwiththeboys yeah, i am currently waxing it even more. And hopefully it can move once I put all the panels on.

Has anyone glued any of the pieces together? Just curious.
Good morning
Good morning to you
I have a problem, when I put the 5 pieces it doesn't rotate and I don't know how to fix it :(
Have you waxed the gears ?
