@@DoubleGFinese Nothing major, no.. I’ve had to replace tires due to running something over lol but other than that I’ve been keeping up with the maintenance, like oil changes, little things like that.. I’ve had car for over a year now and it still works good!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽

I honestly think the 2013 Chevy Malibu looks great
It's not supposed to be a JDM car or a Muscle car
I had a chance to drive a friend's and it handled great , steering felt good and the car handled and kept up perfectly with traffic on the highway and it's a really comfortable car . I loved how quiet it is inside . I'm really considering buying a Malibu and getting rid of my ageing Ford Focus . I honestly think Chevy did a great job designing this car .

Awesome review I have a 2011 Malibu and I love it. Sure it's got typical gm plastics but it doesn't bother me I still enjoy my car very much
I definitely rather have a Fusion or Mazda 6.
I don't know why anyone would choose this car over a fusion or 6. They would literally be going out of their way to buy crap
Losingthedamnweight cost. though even for that your going out of the way if you buy that shit base model. my 1lt cruze has leather wrapped steering. I dont know why the malibu doesn't lol.

I would get the new Impala if I was going to buy a Chevrolet family sedan. Compared to the Malibu the new Impala is much better. More room, More power. Better interior.. A little bit more expensive to but I think it's worth it. The next gen malibu can't come soon enough.

My first had one of these with over 120k miles, and he’s the type of person that doesn’t really care about cars. This thing is a tank just keeps going or at least his does
I got a 2014 Malibu 2 LT. My biggest problem with it is not the car itself. I love that thing. I call her Whitney. I got during my last year in high school back in 2019. I put Camaro rims on it and when its not being messed up by Chevrolet, that thing is a smooth riding girl. She is quiet, smooth (surprisingly with 20 inch wheels), and surprisingly peppy to me. It's Chevrolet and their technicians that give me problems. Things that should be easy fixes turn into disasters that cost me more than it should. Luckily not all of their locations are bad and I recently switched to a more reliable dealer. They do take long as fuck but I'm satisfied when the job is done. I need that car to last because I got a long college life ahead of me. And mommy daddy grocery getters and stubby little crossovers of today are not cutting it.

I have never been a Malibu fan although I like Chevy. This new design that they have come out with is a far cry from the older design. I like them if I went to buy this car it would just be my commuter car but I would get the LTZ trim. I'd drive this to work or grocery store. And then on the weekend Break out with my Cadillac or Jaguar.

Although the car is a bit boring, its target comfort over sportiness and everybody is not looking for a sporty car. The only thing this car really need is make the rear seat more room which they did for 2014 models.

Great review, but may I ask why are you testing the base model? Wouldn't you want to see what the best the company can really offer?
Companies tend to advertise their top trim models all the time, combined with the base model price though... so it is nice to see reviews on what you really get for the advertised price, as well as sometimes be able to compare different trims (which he reviewed on some cars)
most people can't afford the top notch trim. Reviewing the lower trims fit more with what people will buy and what people should expect

These really aren't bad cars, they refreshed the front for 2014 and it looks a lot better. It really is just a generic car, though.

Ugh i deal with these all the time now working at Enterprise and i really do hate them. The ergonomics and seating position in this car is annoying. It has a decent ride to it but falls short to practically everything in its class

A string of last-place comparison test finishes and overwhelmingly negative reviews of the Malibu has proven than GM doesn't take this segment seriously enough to bother building a decent midsize car. Everything about this car says "half-assed effort".
I like the Malibu. But i like the Impala way bwtter. For some reason i feel like the Impala has that more it. Factor.

WTF does Vanilla mean?
It's a dependable car that families can afford and drive for 6-8 year without much of an issue. I would rate the engine and drivetrain as far as dependability above most in this class.This is why families continue to buy a bland rental car in such high numbers.
People buy this car because its cheaper then the competitor. These people don't care about the latest gadgets and technology in a vehicle. As long as the vehicle gets them from Point A to B and it reliable they are happy. These people aren't picky on their vehicle (to a slight degree) either. They would just rather save their money or spend their money on other things more important to them.
Every time I think I might want a GM car again (after witnessing parents' experiences with almost a dozen cars over decades of time) something happens. This time, it's 'BONG-BONG-BONG', and I really don't need to see the gauges sweep. There are the commercials snickering at bicyclists (Chevy), snotty entitled rich bashing the working class (Cadillac 'Volt'). Not to mention the fail in the products themselves, this example being lack of interior space, an unresponsive transmission, a horrible grating sound from the engine bay.

Why was this generation of the Malibu only made from 2013-2015, whereas previous generations of the Malibu were made for more than 3 years? Was this generation unreliable or something?
It's actually been made for 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 - the 2016 in this style is called Malibu Limited.

It wasn’t necessary unreliable but they lacked modern features like the rear vents.
I have to admit this review was way better than that old dump #JeremyClarkson back at #TopGear and I have decided yes I will buy this chevy Malibu perphaps yes the AT version and I myself will modify it by adding a touch screen with a rear view camara and perhaps tune up the engine and with some rims this 2013 Malibu is for me Thanks Man
There's Government Motors finest. Even after bankruptcy and robbing the general population blind of it's tax dollars GM still can't get things right. The new ATS and CTS have horrible shiny plastic trim on their interiors and this car still looks too rental like. Recalls are at an all time high for GM too.

Ever since the Malibu was introduced or I should say reintroduced in uhhhhh, 1997 I believe? (Who cares? No one remembers...) it has consistently been one of, if not always the least impressive midsize sedan on the market. Why anyone would buy this is just beyond me. The only reason anyone would buy this is if they have a hard on for GM, they want a midsize sedan, and they're too stupid to buy an Impala, which is better. There is nothing, and I mean nothing cool or redeeming about a Malibu.

This is not an LT model: In 2013 the LT1 had the color coded mirrors with integrated turn signal, leatherette bolstered seats, stitched dashboard, mylink radio, and wood grain accents. Though yes it may not be a true headturner if you go for the LT model you will definitely have a better experience than the LS...I will agree the LS is a bit Rental Car.
I dont get why hes so hard on Chevy, its not their fault their broke due to bankruptcy and bailouts... oh wait, yeah it is. Lol GM as a whole is shit. For less money and better bang for your buck, I would definately go for either a Ford Fusion or VW Jetta GLI, sportier, more economic, and actually nice to look at :)
