I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I live in a country where the average skin tone is light brown and every other skin tone is considered ugly. I’ve been receiving lots of hateful comments over my pale skin. “You look sick”. “Your skin colour is disgusting”. “You could be beautiful if only you had a different skin tone”. I have pale skin and blonde hair. I started dying my hair in a darker colour and sometimes wearing heavy clothes even during summer to cover my skin. I don’t make any effort to choose the right shade of foundation because stores usually don’t even sell lighter colours and shop assistants always recommend me to buy a more orange tint “because you need to put some colour on that pale skin”. I hated myself and I was jealous of all the women around me until I found you channel. You’re pale. You represent everything hated in my country, yet you are incredibly beautiful! I told to myself “You finally found your model!”. I’m watching all your videos and shorts! You’re stunning, refined and elegant! You’re not just showing us that pale skin isn’t a flaw but also that it can enhance your beauty! You’re probably changing the life of lots of women! Thank you!
you are so welcome beautiful! i’m so sorry you’ve had to go through so much criticism and unkindness 😞. you’re absolutely beautiful just as you are and i’m so happy to have you here! sending you lots of love 🥰 xxx
Wow, that’s horrible. Maybe you should move to east Asia. Pale skin is the beauty standard over there, people even bleach their skin to try and lighten it.
A joy to listen to and to watch. I appreciate your delicacy and soft voice no shouting of flashing ohhh it’s a lovely change. I am also fair skinned so it really helps to see another person and their techniques and tips, thank you! By the way, I couldn’t see your spots. X
It's so cool to see you don't contour for every day makeup. Also, you are so gorgeous and I love these videos. They motivate me to do my makeup on days that I struggle to.
I swear, I think I watched almost all of your reels. I love your soft voice and you're so beautiful as well! You have such nice face and features. It's really relaxing watching you show and put on makeup :))
This is the first video of yours I’ve ever seen and the shapes of your face are so beautiful! Your eyes are so very gorgeous! They’re very soft and delicate! You’re like a beautiful doll! I’d love to look like that! Thank you for posting this video ^^ Your voice is soothing also! Stay safe, may the Lord be with you ☺️
Thankyou for this video! Just wanted to let you know I ended up purchasing the nars tinted moisturiser & the boiing concealer. I’ve never spent that much on makeup before but the quality is amazing on my skin. I can wear it all day without it looking dry or creasing & it helps covering my dark circles. Its hard to find good British pale skin makeup tutorials (important to me it’s within the country because finding abroad products are very expensive or not available). Thankyou for this!!
stumbled on one of your shorts just this morning (comparing neutral, cool and warm tone red lipstick shades)..and became an instant subscriber...for me, personally, I love "natural" everyday looks so this video was beautifully done and quite perfect! I lean cool to neutral and have oily (mature) skin that still breaks out...and I have dark hair and light eyes..I'll be trying some of the shades and products you are showcasing and I love how you give honest opinions especially on if it's better for "oily skin or dry skin" . Thanks for posting!!!! More every day looks...with favorites or HG's...and dupes would be awesome to see! Just love the mixture of high end and drug store options! Can't wait to dive into more videos....🤍👍
Just found you, wanted to say you describe things very well and address questions I don't actively think about unless it's something that ends up problematic for me. Thank you also for using natural light and making sure we know. You do a great presentation without being bombastic, I appreciate that. Beautiful!
OMG FINally!!! we have the same skintone EXACTLY and u seem to set ur makeup just as i do! Aaah im so thankful for this tutorial! I love the nars tinted m too! I'm def going to try everything else
Been following you for a while and I just want to say I love your style, makeup, everything! Thank you for making such great videos and providing wonderful inspo ❤ you are simply brilliant:) Have a wonderful weekend ❤
thank you so much , finally a make up for a pale blonde, it's really hard to find out make up for blondies! usually are always for asian or brunette olive skin type and I don't really fit in it! thank you so much, you look like a princess! adorable!💞
you seem so down to earth, in the best way possible, especially with openly making peace with the fact that most people naturally don't have 100% simmetrical eyebrows 😅
I bought the Huda one coat mascara after seeing it in another of your videos, I like it! Reminds me a little of the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara, coal black, sooty, you really do only need one good coat. I’d like to see your everyday eyeshadow look.
I, too, am of particularly pasty persuasion & have extreme difficulty finding makeup to match: have you tried using mixers to improve colours? I use white to simply lighten & pale blue if a product is both too dark & too intensely orange.
i hate the feeling of anything on my skin, so i never wear anything except eyeliner, mascara, a tinted lip balm, and sometimes a bit of eyeshadow for color and/or sparkle. i also don't wear makeup every day or even most days, and i rarely try new things, so i really appreciate the simplicity of this routine, although it's done with a lot more precision and grace than my routine
6:02 For a brief moment I thought you were about to put on black lipstick and I got super excited (as someone who dabbles in punk/goth looks sometimes). That's a very misleading lip balm, haha.
Hey Olivia!! Love your content so much. Just a word of feedback on this video - its very quiet. I love how you speak in your videos and definitely keep the soft spoken aspect but if you could turn the volume up on your microphone maybe. Even at max volume I couldnt hear your voice apart from the very short audio clip at the beginning. Not trying to hate as I genuinely love your content but just cant hear it lol
Hello! Your voice is soporific - no wonder you’ve made an ASMR video. 😊 Could you recommend a very pale, cool-toned, glowy foundation - I’m slightly paler than the Mac Studio Fix in NW10 (I’ve never understood why their foundation is ‘W’ for cooler-toned and ‘C’ for warmer-toned foundations! 😳 ) Thank you! xx
hello lovely! thank you for your kind comment! have you by any chance tried nars “oslo”? it’s cool toned & their lightest shade. it’s a little bit pink for me as i’m more neutral but it’s my no.1 recommendation for cool tones and their light reflecting foundation specifically is stunning! xx
So interesting that the Nars tinted moisturizer doesn't oxidize on you! It looks great on me when I first put it on but then it oxidizes to yellow, and I have very fair cool to neutral skin, really similar to yours but I'm more red, and it looks like I put fake tanner on after like 15 min :(
If you like the product apart from the oxidisation, you could try neutralising the eventual oxidised colour by adding a lavender mixer (purple being opposite yellow on the colour wheel): you might start out looking purplish, but once it oxidises it should be a good match.
The mum in me worries that youre sitting in front of a window im assuming without sunscreen on but im hoping you pop it on pre filming when you do skincare. ❤
Im an extremely pale girl. Havnt worn makeup in almost 10 years because ive only ever been into natural makeup but as i got older i grew out of my red cheeks and acne. But now at 25 my red cheeks are back. I want to get back into makeup but its so hard to find makeup that suits me. The trends have changed a lot since i used it. Idk how to use a beauty blender and i dont really have the patience to tap foundation on, it feels so heavy. I prefer using a foundation brush and blending it with a fluffy brush and foundation powder. But none of these foundations seem to fit me anymore. I think my red cheeks have made my blue undertones turn more pink. Idk. If anyone has any advice I'm open
You might find a green colour-corrector helpful (green being opposite red on the colour wheel). Colour-correction depends on the corrector being the same lightness/darkness as what you're trying to correct: being pale, mint green might work for you, or regular green plus some white. You'd apply the corrector to the red areas, then follow with makeup that matches your skin tone: once the red is neutralised, it can't show through & make your makeup look pink.
I have this tinted moisturiser in the lightest shade and I DO like it, but I wish it was slightly more pale. Do you have any tinted moisturiser recommendations for extremely pale skin with a neutral undertone?
I am too distracted to pay attention until I tell you that yellow doesn’t cover red… Based on color theory, green cancels out red. (Yellow cancels out purple and orange cancels out blue.)
Girl we all know u don’t sound like that it’s giving a Victorian child on their death bed it’s embarrassing but great tutorial when u turn on the captions instead
I appreciate that you are filming in natural lighting, artificial lights can make colors and textures look really different. The makeup looks great!
ah thank you so much lovely! 🥰
I love the natural pink around your eyes, i often recreate it with eyeshadow on me
thank you lovely! yes i’ve learnt to just leave it and pretend it’s eyeshadow 😄 xx
@@theoliviasaurusrex I was actually looking through your videos to try and find out how you created that 😅
I would love to see a vampy look on you, I think darker looks on pale skin look so edgy especially for autumn and Halloween
ooo noted 😍 love that idea! x
