I can't wait to have grandchildren to teach my crafts to. Neither of my children really got into any, though my daughter is slightly interested in knitting and crochet but never has the time to sit down and learn. Maybe once she's out of university.
Love your excitement. Alot of new stitching I would love to do. I will enjoy them thru your video. Would love to join your patriot channel. Maybe one day after I stop needing CS patterns. I have so many now I will never finish before God decides to call me home. ❤
Always wanted to visit Primative Gatherings & to learn needlepunch! Glad you had fun! And the Tilda is beautiful...I would have bought the buttons too! Happy Summer!
So glad you have a relaxing stitching weekend!! Your granddaughter will get the hang of it. I started my kids on 11 count aida. It was easier to see the holes. Not one of the seven cross stitches as adults. But I do have a quilter & two knitters & the boys are quite capable of using a needle & thread to see on buttons or fix a hem.
Loved seeing you again. I love all of your cross stitching. Your haul was very nice. I've always wondered about needle punch. It's looks pretty. See you soon, have a good week.
I love working on Aida and find it relaxing. Love your idea of starting with kits and now you have me looking at punch needle…..enabler 😂 Happy I subscribed!
I have always wanted to learn punch needle. I have purchased a punch a long time ago but have never tired it - I look at all of the patterns in Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher Needlework Magazine and think I need to do those!!! I agree I like to do kits too whether it is cross stitch or quilting as it is easier to just pick it up and finish it. Love your snowman banner. I think the fall will look really nice on the oatmeal fabric. I am the same about pre-cuts!! Have a wonderful week.
I too have done needle punch. I do have 3 that I just got. The past 10 days my husband and me have been on a bus travel tour. We have seen 8 states. We went to Mount Rushmore, Black Hills, Yellowstone, Badlands, Grand teton Mts. Saw a rodeo and floated down a river in Wyoming. I did take cross stitch with me. I thought that I would get 12 Autumn ornaments done on the trip. I got 1 and part of another done. But we did see a lot out of the ordinary.l
Your snowmen are adorable! I love 14 count Aida! I am 50 and have an eye condition that will only get worse. I may try some other counts someday ( I have done 16 and 18 count), but I doubt I will ever switch to something else for good. I love that my stitches end up being bigger :). Your retreat sounds like it was so much fun. Going to Primitive Gatherings is definitely on my list.
Hi Artie! Great video. I. Love the friends and family banner. I'm glad you are having a fun summer. Maybe start grand daughter on 10 CT. Aida? The holes are big. By the way...I have the same pair of eye glasses that you have. What a coincidence. I will be going in for a shoulder replacement on Monday so I won't be stitching for a while. But I can go on floss tube and watch all the videos of all the stitchers so I won't feel alone.
Hey there Arttie! I'm still here and happy to see you on TH-cam. Thank you for keeping us in your loop🙂 I love what you've been up to. I, also, have been hearing my fabric calling to me. I may be doing some sewing down the line, too. Keep on stitching! Becky🙂
It’s good to hear your summer is going well. Oh Beautiful is going to be so pretty, and will be lovely on your wall! Best wishes with your punch needle adventures! PS. Stitch on whatever fabric makes you happy.
Never apologize for the count or type of fabric. I stitch on ALL counts of linen, evenweave, and aida, from 14 CT aida to 56 CT. Sometimes, a project just shouts "14 CT" . 14 count is great when traveling, times when you don't have much light, etc. Excited to see what you are going to do with the 2" squares!
I enjoy watching your video! I’m an “old” stitcher… I have tons of old chart charts and still stitch a lot on 14 count… I consider it a gift that I can still stitch since many of my friends have given it up😢I recently downsized a lot of my charts and just spent this morning trying to reorganize my stitching fabric😢I’ve never been to a stitch con or stitched much around others… I peer over the top of my glasses when I stitch and probably hold the fabric way too close but I love what I can do… it may not be perfect but I get a lot of joy and happiness from what I do… I love Charles Wysocki too!! I have a different book and alrhough I REALLY like yours I may have to be content and do the one I have…Keep stitching and I’ll keep watching!!😊
So glad you were able to go to a retreat and just relax. Love the snowman stitch. It’s amazing how adding the outlines makes it pop. Have a great week!!!❤
You made some great progress on your stitching. Your granddaughter will have it down in no time. As you say just a bit to get used to but she is doing a great job. Soon she will be down this rabbit hole as well and look out!!!
I love stitching words if they aren't done in backstitching. I don't care much for stitching trees. I guess my drum has always beat different than others. If 14 ct makes you happy and the 1987 pattern is what you want to stitch...go for it. I only stitch on 14 ct. I use to do up to 22 ct but that was back in the 80's to early 2000 when I was younger and my eyes were a lot better. I'm thankful that I can see to do counted cross at all. I have two nice project bags. One I bought from a lady on Etsy. the other one I made myself. I ordered some of those cheap ones from Amazon. I've seen some beautiful project bags but as a rule I don't kit up ahead of what I'm stitching. Well I wasn't but now I do have a few that's kitted up with the pattern and fabric. No floss. I'll pull it when I start stitching the pattern. I would love to do some wool projects but we have silverfish here in Fl and they love a good wool buffet. LOL I've always wanted t do a punched rug but there again silverfish. Bummer
Hi Arttie, I don’t know how I missed this video and the live last week. But, here I am. Love the Wisocki! Glad you enjoyed the retreat. I’m a 14 count aida stitcher, and embracing it. lol I think I might try punch needle in the future.

I love kits! I used to buy all the stuff but now I like having everything in one place! Then, it doesn’t matter what I want to work on, I can grab it and get started! Sometimes, the problem comes with getting everything I’ve started to the finish line!
Good morning, Artie! I enjoyed seeing all your projects this morning. They are coming along great and your snowmen turned out so adorable!
