I'm a truck driver for a company in Utah i go to Texas and back every week and I will tell you that criminals brake in while driver's sleep to rob them it's possible that the driver caught the criminal and got killed or the driver had a hooker and got attacked as far as the other driver watching a gps tracker well that is suspicious to because the only people who can is dispatchers and company owners 🤔

This is pure speculation. This driver likely passed away due to underlying health issues that so many of my other fellow drivers suffer from. Why does a hooker always have to be involved? Just shows your ignorance and what your mentality is lol. Most drivers like myself carry a firearm so breaking into a truck is not very wise. I am a lifelong driver for Crete Carrier in Salt Lake. I don't need to conceal my identity.

Entire trucking industry needs overhauling. Companies don’t care about safety, low pay and even hire immigrants that can’t even understand English signs or crash jacking up insurance which then limits what jobs new drivers can get. Why two months training with a “trainer”? Total joke.

Idk there situation but another trucker (co worker) seeing your GPS and having the time to just drive on over to check on you is suspicious in itself.

@@bobbybushwhacker 80% of the companies from Toronto runs to California . In my last company we around 5-6 trucks leave at same time from yard and we see each other for 2 days on the road so if any driver is not responding phone call and gps is on same location for long time then company call to the driver behind him to see what’s going on , i think same happened with that guy .

As a lifelong trucker, drivers die of natural causes alone in their trucks all the time. Not sure why this is news? It's unfortunate however the vast majority of drivers are obese, and in poor heath. We have to start taking better care of ourselves. And companies need to do more to ensure that drivers who are a walking heart attack are medically disqualified from operating a CMV. Unfortunately they just want a driver in the seat and turn a blind eye to this. Companies hire their own in house physician assistant to issue DOT medical certifications to drivers who are in poor health. And this needs to STOP.

It sounds to me like there were other circumstances they're not reporting, it's not _only_ that he was found dead.

@pulaski1 As I said, this sort of thing happens many times a day, everyday, and everywhere with truckers. Even here at my company. You just don't hear about it

@@patricka05 Agreed. These days _lots_ of commonlace, everyday occurances get reported nationally and internationally thanks to the internet. That is one of the reasons people _think_ that the world is a more dangerous place that is really is - because we all have access to the "local news" from coast to coast, and beyond.
My rule of thumb is that once you get one story that gets national interest and traction, there'll be at least a couple of similar cases get reported. For example the Gabby Petito case - generated reports of other "van life" homicides and disappearances.

@@patricka05 But law enforcement initially said suspicion of foul play. Not: undetermined, medical, self inflicted.... Too often the family has to really push to get a deeper investigation. Not here.
And what is going on in Tooele county? A lot of truck incidents being reported there.
