dosed this weekend and we decided we dont like sprites. that damn robot sprite kept worming her way through our fractals and skeeving us out. I like to keep things as intangible and abstract in the milkdrop world. Loving what you've done
Wow you continued the wonderful work of Ryan Geiss it's really cool, I used the projectM version in KODI a bit but I didn't find it as good as the Milkdrop version in Winamp. There was less control I found. But this new version seems really good. I want to install it but I was wondering if I use Directx 12 on Windows 11 will there be no conflict with DirectX 9 with the games? I also have several old presets from Milkdrop 2, I had MEGA packs of presets, will they work in your version? Thank you for continuing this wonderful visualizer, I can't wait to see the future AI version.
Hey, so you can setup the directX9 files without any problem, you can have multiple versions of directX on the same computer without any issue! And the version of directX9 coming with MilkDrop 3 is only 4mb, it's a very light version. You can of course add all your packs of presets, just copy them in the Milkdrop3\presets folder or press 'L' and and choose the folder you want load!
I actually use the xbox gamebar integrated in windows (win+g) and change the settings to 60fps and video quality to high. You can record the screen with your graphics card software like nvidia or intel (for example: Intel ArcControl > Studio > Capture)
My friend, I have purchased MilkDrop3 (v3.25+) before. I have a question. Milk can load dual presets but cannot save them. I read in the documentation that only milk2 can operate. Is there any way to save as milk2 using milk?
Hello yes of course you can save any double-preset at any time in a .milk2 file. Just press 's' and choose a new filename. watch: th-cam.com/video/AdcUPpp1O0k/w-d-xo.html (don't forget to press 'f' to see all the presets!)
Hello, you need to extract the zip file to your 'presets' folder located in MilkDrop 3.26\Milkdrop3\presets\ to use them, or you can create a new folder, for example 'classics' MilkDrop 3.26\Milkdrop3\classics\ and extract them in this new folder then launch MilkDrop3 and press the key 'L' then press 'enter' on (parent directory) then with the up and down arrows navigate to 'classics' then press 'enter'; now MilkDrop3 will be reading only the presets in that new folder.
Psychonauts from around the world have probably watched more hours of milkdrop than we could even imagine.
Thanks for the good times

That's great... By the way, how do you do the videos? Do you record the screen with some software?
I have the same question

would it be possible to use this as a Winamp (or WACUP) visualisation plugin?
You can use it with both Winamp or wacup but not as a plugin dll
