- Week 4 from our 6-week Pathways to Parenthood Course.
The course offers free digital access to expert opinion and advice from our excellent guest speakers on the pathways to parenthood for those in the LGBTQ+ community. The course started on 10th August 2023 and was for 6 consecutive weeks on a Thursday at 7pm via Zoom. This was the fourth session of 6.
Our topics and guest speakers for this series include: ·
10th August: Pathways and Options, with Francesca Steyn from the Royal College of Nursing
17th August: Fertility treatment processes and what to expect at the clinic, with Carole Gilling Smith, CEO & Medical Director at the Agora Clinic
24th August: Donor conception support with Nina Barnsley, Director at the Donor Conception Network
31st August: Funding Options, with Fertility Network UK & Gaia IVF Insurance
7th September: Legal Implications for Modern Families, with Natalie Gamble, NGA Law & Brilliant Beginnings
14th September: Real Stories - hear from LGBTQ+ families and their own personal experiences; with Laura-Rose from LGBT Mummies contact@lgbtmummies.com, experiences of adoption both from male couple and female couple perspectives, surrogacy and parenting as a Gay couple with Michael Johnson-Ellis from My Surrogacy Journey (and The Modern Family Show) and Libby from Bourne This Way LGBT Parent Support
