A great, cool and valuable lesson. Well done Tim D! 1. follow the chord changes 2.your bends need to be accurate 3. not using enough vibrato 4. vary your rhythm in your solos - speed up and slow down in your playing 5. not muting properly Jimi is still giving cheek!!! 🤣🤣
I can honestly say that your Blues Guitar Licks in All 5 positions book is incredible and well worth the money🤘just found your channel days ago and ordered the book on Amazon and been going through it and have been learning things I didn’t know and have been playing for decades and also A lot I already know but in the end it is well worth the $20 of knowledge! Plus Big Jim and showing on screen tabs to help growing guitarist understand & become better & already sent some friends learning to your channel and glad your channel came recommended to me! Thanks Tim 🤘🎸🤘
Top guitar instructor on TH-cam .. i live in south America and rarely play or listen to blues rock or country but this guy helps to motivate me back to my roots
You ever going to do a Jimmy Vaughan lick lessons? I think he specializes in Major Blues licks and uses Open String licks using the Capo at the 2nd fret.
The moral of the story is that when fingering it’s good to change with the rhythm, be aggressive when necessary and mute more often than you think you should. Sounds like a setup for a great ending!!
Where is your tone knob set on your neck pickup???? I CANNOT get anything even close to the clarity you are playing with, even when I set the tone knob to 8 or 9.
Great lesson. And I was glad to see that I do all these tricks without thinking about it.
Excellent!

Always appreciate the comments mate!
Great video - thank you
Glad it was helpful!
If I don't keep an eye on him he'll drop back into triplet mode....classic, side splitting material right there. You have a good sense of humour!
Glad you like the humour! Triplets rule!

Thanks so much for the compliment! The tone know is just all the way up. The guitar is a dream, R9 Light Aged, Murphy Lab.
Mistake #6... Not listening to Homesick James... 🎸
Haha!
