Most consistant a brilliant drumming I've ever heard and that from someone I've never heard of before. Q - What head is on the batter side of the BD? - What BD pedals are being used and combo with beaters? cheers
This dude is so awesome and so are the cymbals. Please could you put the cymbals model name and size in the description so i could know your set-up and possibly buy some of these
Wonderful sounding cymbal series, and looks like a great alternative to the MB20 series that some of us just can't afford, but how is the durability on them? They clearly seem geared for hard-hitters like myself, so I was wondering how much of a beating they can endure? :)
Definitely not the best series Meinl has introduced. I'll be positive & say I like the hi-hat's, I think they sounds ok for this style of playing. However, that stack sounds like poop -_-
alex erwin Agreed. I also think that the ride serves its purpose quite well. Pretty limiting though, I doubt it would work for anything other than "extreme"metal.
Judge Dredd I'm aware of that... However, that a product, in this case a cymbal, is specifically designed to be used in a certain situation does not necessarily mean that it can't be used for something else.
How do you create that low tone bass drum sound I love it? I have the same Evans Emad head and a port in the res head. Is it just a tuning thing or is there more to it? Over all sounded awesome =D
@MrStoner46 Triggers my friend. You can either get a really nice Audix kick mic and put lots of compression on it, or you could get a trigger unit and blend the trigger sound with a mic sound.
Where can I obtain cymbals like these?!?!?! My local Guitar Center doesnt carry much Meinl cymbals and I went to Meinl Cymbals website and I couldnt find any prices or any way of buying their cymbals, somebody please help!
Wow!!! You have high level drumming skills! Your feet on those double basses are as fast as bumblebee wings. Just tell me one thing. How do you make your bass drum pedals go that fast?
I'd recommend that you search for some videos about that here on youtube. I think that it'll be hard to get as good answer in the comment section of MEINL Cymbals video. You're hardly going to get an answer from Rudinger himself here.
dude, read the comment "most of the work is done by the ankles" i didnt say you dont use your shin, just that most of the raw power and speed comes from the ankles while using this technique. You said "shin (calf)", i'd also like to remind you that the 'shin' part is at the front of your lower leg and the 'calf' is at the back.
Crash is great, stack is pretty good, but i think the rides are a little dry and bland, but i do like the bells on them. imo, when Alex does the single stroke roles on the rides, i love it when they are sharp as hell! Really brings out the feeling!
Welcome to metal. But obviously, Alex does a lot more than just that. In reality, most drummers know a lot of different styles quite well, which never ceases to amaze me.
its not a speedcobra, they have a closed top slave pedal but this is open, + the chain link is different here. this may even be a direct drive pedal by the looks of it.
I´am using Extreme Metal cymbals 2 years. Crashes and chinas. First, for its price they are extremely resistant to crack. My previous Byzance china cracked after one year of intensive playing... Second, they have solid and powerfull sound. For our rehearsal room with not very good acoustic and very loud guitars they are really fine.
Watching this in 2016, I wonder...How many different hairstyles has Alex had? Seriously, i've seen him like this, shaven, and with a man-bun...what's next?
Sound pretty good to me. Kinda wish we had been able to hear him without the backing track to get a better idea of the sound. I still like what I was able to hear, though.
this reminds me why i am listening to metal
Wow. This guy is incredible. I've never seen someone play such quick stuff and not look like they're about to die.
This is the happiest metal drummer I've ever seen.
I couldn't think of anyone better to demo these cymbals, great video
Best metal drummer I've ever seen. And yes, I know about Hoglan, Roddy or Kollias.
But do you know about Jan Axel Blomberg (aka Hellhammer)?
Nick Pierce too 👍🏿
Billia Kills it!
Most consistant a brilliant drumming I've ever heard and that from someone I've never heard of before.
Q - What head is on the batter side of the BD?
- What BD pedals are being used and combo with beaters?
cheers
not a bad sound but the MB20's are my personal favorite.
Well the Mb20's are also about $200 more so...
That kit sounds AMAZING.
That snare sound so freaking tight !
For those of you that don't know, the name of his band is Ordinance. they just recently released their first album.
Hey guys! very stunning cymbals.. just love it! .. when are you planning the release of these cymbals? Thanks Meinl.!
Ok awesome but what are all these cybals? sizes please?
How much are these cymbals worth? They sound great!
Love the stack sound. All the cymbals look and sound great.
Would you guys recommend this cymbal set or should I go for the Paiste Alpha's ?
Most of them are wayy to dull sounding but (and I can say this because I own one) the ride sounds amazing in person.
Really digging the Ordinance tunes!!! (In case if anyone's wondering, the only song on here that's not from Ordinance is the third song.)
just for reference, are there differently weighted ankle weights u use? or is there like a standard ankle weight to use...
This dude is so awesome and so are the cymbals. Please could you put the cymbals model name and size in the description so i could know your set-up and possibly buy some of these
What snare head is he using? I'm not a metal player but the head is sick!
What snare are you using? It sounds absolutely epic!
Wonderful sounding cymbal series, and looks like a great alternative to the MB20 series that some of us just can't afford, but how is the durability on them? They clearly seem geared for hard-hitters like myself, so I was wondering how much of a beating they can endure? :)
These are some of the best lines of cymbals by Meinl for metal
Definitely not the best series Meinl has introduced. I'll be positive & say I like the hi-hat's, I think they sounds ok for this style of playing. However, that stack sounds like poop -_-
alex erwin Agreed. I also think that the ride serves its purpose quite well. Pretty limiting though, I doubt it would work for anything other than "extreme"metal.
+Mustis1524 that's because the series is meant for extreme metal genres...
Judge Dredd I'm aware of that... However, that a product, in this case a cymbal, is specifically designed to be used in a certain situation does not necessarily mean that it can't be used for something else.
Awesome, new Ordinance stuff sounds sweet!
amazing skills dude! Great work!
How do you create that low tone bass drum sound I love it? I have the same Evans Emad head and a port in the res head. Is it just a tuning thing or is there more to it? Over all sounded awesome =D
Niiiice..rock on homie..how them new drums treating ya???
Awesome as hell
This kit sounds just PERFECT. There's no other word to describe it.
What kind of double pedal is he using?
I never seen someone play that fast.
The snare is a Pearl 14x8 Brass Free Floating :) Gene Hoglan uses a similar one, his sound is also EPIC
how are you so clean/smooth/perfect?
Are these just random drum jams or are they actual tunes? They sound so good!
anyone can tell me, i know these are new classic custom extreme metal series, but on his left side, what kind of china is that? i really need that!
+Iqbal Satria I think that might be the 18" and the one to the right might be the 20"
Anyone remember back in the day when Alex still had his long hair and was playing Sabian's only?
great drummer! been watching him for years. if anyone didnt know, this guy is only 19.
these sound a LOT better than the new alphas and i swear by those cymbals how much are they retail in the U.K?
What are the two upside-down cymbals on his right, above the ride?
Does anyone know what sort of clamp he's using to mount the extra hihat on his bass drum? Thanks! Guy's a beast ....
Some of the best drumming I have ever seen. at 1:50-2:20! Crazygood!!!
@MrStoner46 Triggers my friend. You can either get a really nice Audix kick mic and put lots of compression on it, or you could get a trigger unit and blend the trigger sound with a mic sound.
Can someone please tell me the band and song that starts around 3:38? Im not sure if its a seperate song or not. Thanks in advance!
I want to hear more from the ride. The bell looks huge on that thing. Wish he'd play it.
Are these Threat Signal tracks? I know its not but the track at 1:20 sounds like the faceless
Where can I obtain cymbals like these?!?!?! My local Guitar Center doesnt carry much Meinl cymbals and I went to Meinl Cymbals website and I couldnt find any prices or any way of buying their cymbals, somebody please help!

Practice, Control and Speed Building exercises.
Visit his Page on TH-cam .. His Name is Alex Rudinger
Are these already available in Germany?
when will these be available?

That stop and start at 3:38 is awesome
Crash is great, stack is pretty good, but i think the rides are a little dry and bland, but i do like the bells on them. imo, when Alex does the single stroke roles on the rides, i love it when they are sharp as hell! Really brings out the feeling!
how do u train ur shin muscles to go through that!
What is the drum head? Evans EMAD Clear ?
How can I get my bass drum to have such an epic sound?
who is that on 3:41 ? I dont know but it look s like like Art Cruz from Winds of Pleague ?
Welcome to metal. But obviously, Alex does a lot more than just that. In reality, most drummers know a lot of different styles quite well, which never ceases to amaze me.
Love the sound of the bass and snare.
@MEINLcymbals
Was würde der Satz alles in allem kosten?
its not a speedcobra, they have a closed top slave pedal but this is open, + the chain link is different here. this may even be a direct drive pedal by the looks of it.
What Drum heads is he using?
Is that snare 16''?
Pre-pro? Where does it say that?
Is that what you call your vacuum cleaner?
What drum set is he using?
I believe its the Evans Hybrid coated. It was originally a marching snare concept.
This guy's drumming is off the chain. Incredible.
What snare drum is he using?
Are to those evan G2 heads?
That ride cymbal is crazy. Put it on my wish list.
how much cost these cmybals ?
What double kick pedal is he using?
Ordinance is getting somewhat known. Glad to see it.
What band is it he's jamming to?
Who is the drummer at 4:18?
what is your snare drum please ? :) thx
That Drummer..is Amazing ! What a Power and speed when he play !
This guy reminds me of Anup Sastry
they got the same teacher
Who might that be?
travis orbin
I'm loving that china stack a lot! Not totally sure how i feel about mega power bell rides but its soo heavy!
Alex Rudinger is so entertaining! His smile is hilarious =D
Some damn awesome drumming also.
whos the drummer at 0:28??
Very nice, the sound from the drums.
How can you play the double pedal so freakin' fast?
what pedals are those?
what song is he drumming to?! is that the Faceless?
Ordinance and Threat signal
Watching this in 2016, I wonder...How many different hairstyles has Alex had? Seriously, i've seen him like this, shaven, and with a man-bun...what's next?
he did used to have super long hair aha
It's strange reading all of the comments that dislike the stack used here. That's the only thing that even sounds good to my ears.
Sound pretty good to me. Kinda wish we had been able to hear him without the backing track to get a better idea of the sound. I still like what I was able to hear, though.
Does anyone know what pedal he's using in this video?
sorry then xD well if you haven't figured yet. they are the MEINL "18" Classics Custom Extreme Metal Stack" if I'm not mistaken :)
what is the first song's name played in the video
As far as i know there is no name for it yet. It'll be announced when more Ordinance stuff is released I'm sure.
Thanks
Very creative, not the usual stigmatized blastermaster type. Love it!
amazing feeling in his feet and hands, and nice fills. the cymbals are good, as are most cymbals of high price class
@joshuachan56 He is using Pearl Demon Drives with the Eliminator beaters..
no bell?
just curious.
hell ...i cant wait for the new ordinance album ...those preproducion soundtracks are freaking amazing
Que canciones son las que toca!?
how much does it cost? *_*
He makes it look so easy!!!! Alex is a monster!!!
some says it's a refference brass, because they saw the logo on the snare in other videos in which there were no toms.
i love the snare sound so bad...
