    Hey guys I just wanted to point out I know I said the turtle wax at $70 was crazy and have since realised that the ethos would actually be more to buy in that amount so it is the most expensive here but I guess paying the $70 for a single bottle stuck with me more 😆

    Like I said Ethos Resist is the real deal👍

      Seems to be, am hoping it lasts now as I'd love to get a few good months out of it

    Man i love these things. Really helps me sell what's best to my customers aswell, and i reckon this is the best way to test these out. In saying that, based upon your Meguiar's Detailer Wheel Cleaner test, i've even gone out and bought myself one. Everyone has to remember too that there's more products out there than just what's in Supercheap and Repco. Keep it up!

    Use a damp microfiber for first wipe off with Flex..then dry.. works amazing

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I should have done that but was worried about it then diluting the product or giving g any reason why it wouldn't be as durable

    Great video again. Probably price per litre would be a fairer comparison. Ethos is way overpriced IMO.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I realised that afterwards I think the $70 the turtle wax cost me just stuck with me more haha
      And since I bought the smaller bottle of Ethos I didn't really think about it.
      Both are definitely expensive but hey of they manage to last I'll be happy to buy them again

    I've spent a whole day in isolation watching your videos 🤣 I'm gonna go broke as soon as I'm allowed to go to Supercheap! Would you do a video and suggest maybe 5 must try products? From all categories

      Thanks mate, I did have a video idea similar to that and I'd like to film it at some point

    That’s a pretty good idea - use Bead Machine as a benchmark in all tests where applicable. That’s one thing I don’t usually see done.

    I'd hazard a guess that the TW was so streaky because you used too much of it. More than two sprays on 1/4 of a panel is pretty excessive. I've applied it a few times and never had streaking issues personally.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, yeah you're probably right. It wasn't so much streaking that was an issue just the incredibly grabby wipe off but either way it's off on there now so time to see how it lasts

    • @a.r.walker6255
      @a.r.walker6255 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been using all three for a while now. The TW streaks even when using only a little. 303 is the hardest to remove. Ethos Resist in my opinion is easiest to work with. No streaking.

    • @joelpasserell4525
      @joelpasserell4525 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The TW Flex wax is best removed/leveled with a slightly dampened MF towel. Comes off with no streaking and very easy.

    • @audieconrad8995
      @audieconrad8995 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joelpasserell4525agreed - just as the directions suggest. I've found that an initial wipe-off with a dampened microfiber followed-up with a fluffy buff with all 3 Turtle Wax sprays - Seal&Shine, Hybrid Ceramic and FLEX levels and shines. A minor extra step is not only a time saver but enhances shine and tactile feel. The FLEX gets knocked for its price but compare its 23 oz. [U.S.] container size AND the minute amount that is needed to do the job - it is a bargain.

  • @zikem1006
    @zikem1006 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Turtle wax is great but you should follow the directions, shake the bottle, 2 sprays to help he whole panel. No a portion. That’s why your streaks.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I potentially used too much and also could have used a wet microfibre to wipe off but didn't want to dilute it.
      I can forgive the streaking and tough wipe down if the product performs well though and unfortunately this one did not do well.
      I still stand by the only good sealant from turtle wax is seal and shine and all the new ceramic and graphene stuff they release is just worse yet more expensive

    Boy everything is sure alot higher cost in Australia. I know I'm sure it's a different cost of living there etc. But dang 70 bucks for turtle wax 50 for 303. Crazy

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah some of the imported brand prices are crazy, luckily we have Australian brands that are usually pretty fairly priced and if the imported products are a must have its best to wait for a 30% off sale

  • @yoyothe3rd

    Hey mate. What do you reckon about those economax microfibres? Can't help but think its a little too good to be true at that price point haha

  • @amitinderdeepak

    You didn't apply the turtle wax product the way it was supposed to... it's spray on the paint, a quick spread with a microfiber towel, and immediately wipe off excess and buff.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I applied ot as per directions, it doesn't say spray on paint it just says 2 sprays per panel so could be either onto an applicator or onto the paint directly i did possibly wait a little long for the wipe off but it was less than a minute since I was checking the label to make sure there wasn't a flash time like some of the others.
      Either way though I had to reapply all products a few weeks later as some weed kill chemicals got on there and I instantly wiped off and still had issues with application compared to the others which were much easier to apply

  • @HantsLeo
    @HantsLeo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It seems that quite a few of this type of product needs a damp cloth for removal but that introduces an extra step and therefore time and that goes against the ease of use claims.
    Turtle Wax seem to over-hype their products, not for me.
    Keep up the good content and good luck with your channel.

      I don't remember calling them ceramic coatings as I'm qell aware they aren't. In the previous series before this I did si02 sealant comparison and actually showed a real coating on the panel so people could see the difference

    At the *Turtle Wax board room, ok guys looks like they found out about how f*kd our expensive pretend ceramic coating is, so what are we going to flog to the boomers next to polish their mustangs with, we need another idea, ok well let's call it graphite....no that's what they use on golf clubs, call it graphine, wow brilliant idea and let's charge even more for it, 70 bucks yes and those boomers will buy it in droves thinking its even better, hold on did you guys know there's this punk ass kid in Queensland actually testing it up against some cheapo bead machine thing, the hide of that guy!! We've spent millions marketing this rubbish and how dare he test it like that, ok we need a strategy, how about a million bucks to this kid to make us win, yet great idea ;))
