My cell phone I presumed already has factory setting to detect low battery power. Therefore if I did inadvertently reach at a "0%" juice left......again, then my cell phone would prompt me and indicate, " slow charge" or change to the correct charger cable. Some other warning similar to it. The battery is good, not the same though. Factory setting, not that much. Battery will charge on your phone, but not the same way. Stop and charge up on point, once you predict or see that you've reach below this mark. Zero < 30% battery power left. Stay above 30 > though to avoid the batteries reserve warning. I noticed that my phone charged at a higher rate just before I reach 30% hurdle or mark. If I paid attention. Sadly, charging below 30% reserve, forced me to charge it up (slow), I would then overlook the, " slow charging" or the "incorrect charger cable" prompts by powering off. The battery will charge quicker. Either way I had to eventually replace the battery. Less of a hussle that way.

(You may see how dumb I am in using smartphone) I'm using a Samsung Note 4 (yeah very old but wow it is still catching up with the modern phones) and whenever I plug it in, all of the sudden the battery gets drained instead of *fast charging* which is the opposite of what it should do. This happens whenever I used a very "battery-heavy" app like games or I use a lot of apps between charge cycles. I put an emphasis on fast charging because this may be the cause of the battery drain. Also, the fast charging feature is in the phone and not the adaptor. I don't know if that's the case or I'm using a damaged USB cable while fast charging and a non-fast charging adaptor which heats up when charging. There is another adaptor and a USB cable that I can use but it doesn't handle well with heat. But the heat issue may come from the fast charging feature. And I'm no scientist but I'm assuming that the heat is the effect of using fast charging because more electricity is coming from the outlet to the adaptor through the cable to my phone. Not only that but from time to time my phone heats up *while* fast charging. Meanwhile, other phones that doesn't have the fast charging feature is working fine. I'm sensing a lot of blame to this fast charging feature. My question is the fast charging feature causing these issues? the battery drain and heat? This is the closest I can get to having professional help. Thanks anyway.

One of the best way to keep your battery life longer that i recently discovered is to never let your phone discharge lower than 30% and also don't charge it over 80%. When i start doing this my phone battery life was around 82% and after few weeks of doing this type of charge discharge cycle is now at 90%. I use an apo called Accu Battery to set up the charge level that i want , to get notified when is done and also to see the battery life level.

Based on studies, charging at higher percentage ( 80% up ) wears or damage your battery more, compared when charging at lower percentage (ex. 40 - 80%). You can also install acubattery app to monitor or check the damage and remaining estimate capacity of your battery.
We can extend the life cycle of the battery by charging at lower percentage. Coz charging at higher percentage causes battery temperature to rise which damages the battery. You can also see the temperature in acubattery app. By the way, the comfort level is between 10 and 40°C. Stop charging before it reaches 40°C to be safe.
