@360Jeezy see the thing is that i have a nappy texture hair so like when i brush it down and i have like so much lather, my sides would over curl up to the point where it would have have a large part of my hair tangled up and i would have a tiny bald spot bc since its over curled it would like separate hairs from each other. how do i actually do a wash and style without it overcurling and lay the hell down??

Is there a reason you didn’t comb your hair or set angle for this wash and style? Also what benefits are there in putting oil with the shampoo or soap if it’s gonna get rinsed out?
Same reason shampoos typically have oils already in them. Supposed to cleanse and replace what’s being stripped Just not in concentrated amounts of course. Also adding oil really helps lay your hair down when doing a wash and style. Night and day difference for me personally.

@@nealsmall9316 honestly, I’ve tried it, and it did the absolute opposite for me but I’m sure that’s also based on porosity. My hair over over over curled. Like no coming back I had to wash out the co-wash with regular shampoo a couple times. But even with shampoo I do not use coconut oil because it can easily clog your pours and look like dandruff because it’s solidified on your scalp. I use coconut oil mainly for shine if I’m going out or something like that.

Not going to lie I can see how some people will say how washing methods in 2023 is ALOT or very time consuming. BUT at the same time for some people this stuff is necessary. For those that don’t have to do all this for superior waves good for you but respect those that need a different process

You can do a wash and style with a conditioner bar also ; usually we use more than one bar tho like a clarifying bar then moisturizing bar and maybe finish with a conditioner bar
Yes, definitely won’t hurt anything! But imo it’s not necessary with THIS routine because adding the oil to the shampoo adds conditioning then also using the butter is really gonna take things to the next level because the butter is thicker and more nourishing than a regular leave in conditioner. But do you bro!
