Fabulous instructions!!
I feel anyone could follow these easy guidelines to change out their lights!!! Great video!!!
I wanted to show the bulb replacement and the whole housing replacement. I’m glad you enjoyed
Love em. I just put mine in. Your directions made it super simple..
That’s awesome! I’m glad I could help
Love that Jetta!
Me too 😂
@@MTParadise A man of culture like myself!
Be weary. Your reverse, running and turn signals will function fine, but the LED's that function as your brake lights are integrated and seem fragile (flickering/dying). After 8mo of ownership and running/checking all wiring and connections, I finally decided to remove and put the stock ones back in. These issues can be dangerous on the road! I want to add also that yes, the housings were sealed with a bead of waterproof silicone to prevent any water seeping in before install. They are super nice looking and the company reached out and was helpful but - keep an eye out for faults. Safe driving everyone!
Interesting. Thank you for the heads up. I’ll keep an eye out
Damn a led gone out on one of my OEM taillights, I was thinking of putting on those Vlands but now I’m not rly sure lol
@@MTParadise Have you had any issues with these? Did you add load resistors to your install? Looking to reinstall to see if I can rectify the previous issue but looking to see others experience with them first.
@@forumsnowsoldier I’ve never had any issues with these. I really like them
@@MTParadise Hm, I'm going to attempt to reinstall but I'll add some load resistors to the brake light wiring to see if it fixes the issue. I really like them as well as they transform the look of the rear completely. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the awesome instructional video! I always get awesome content from this channel!
You’re welcome. I’m glad you enjoy
Like the way the way the turn signal lights up
That’s one of my favorite parts
I needed this thanks
No problem at all. I’m glad I could help
thanks dude, the video is awesome!
No problem! I’m glad I could help
Great video. Thanks, the car look great!
Thank you! It really does 🤘
Great video!!👍Thank you for choosing our taillight!
Thank you so much! They work really well
@@MTParadise Can I get your video authorization? We decided to edit the excellent videos into a collection and display it on our official TH-cam and Facebook accounts. Your name and video link will be displayed below the edited video.
@@VLANDSHOP yeah, that would be awesome
I fitted exactly the same tail lights from Vland. Your video is super useful n should watch Yr video before I started. Saves me some frustration n time. Do you get the "light bulb" sign on , on the dashboard?
That’s awesome to hear. I’m glad I could help. Before I had these I was trying out some LED bulbs and I got the light on the dash with one of those but after switching to these lights, the light on the dash went away
They look awesome!!! I would like to buy them, but I can't find the link.
The links are in the description but I also added one here: amzn.to/3QSbbKh
This kind of taillights will work on a 2013 Jetta gli, I've seen on the pages that they are not compatible, but I wonder if they could be adapted?
I’m not sure. I’ve only read that they aren’t and I’m not sure as to why exactly
Will these fit my 2016 1.4t Jetta?
Yes they will
Are they still working? I wanna buy a pair.....but I'm seeing tons of reviews saying they stopped working a while after install
That’s weird. They are still working just fine and I have friends with Evos who have the same ones but for the Evo and they’ve never had issues either
Did these new leds cause a warning on the dash due to the lower amount of power these bulbs use?
Not at all. I thought they might but no lights on the dash at all.
I’ve gotten the smoked taillights for my Mk6 Jetta and it gave me a blub out on the dash and the mfd error for rear turn signal and fog light 🤷🏻♂️
@@SirKillah oh that’s weird. I never got any error lights when I did mine.
Very good my friend
Thank you
You do not necessarily need to pop the trunk cover of. Just pop the light cover and unscrew the two nuts holding it 😉
Well when the new lights have a wire that needs to run across, it’s coming off anyway 😂
Can you change the sequential orange turn light to a red light? By replacing the bulb?
They should be LED and can’t change that
Do you know if these fit mk6 pre face lift gli?
Oh with that I’m not sure exactly.
I installed aftermarket tail lights on my Jetta, but now the Light Bulb failure on the dashboard is constantly on. Every single wire is connected and working what could be the problem?
I’m not sure. Someone else had that but was never able to figure out what it could be. A lot of others never had that happen even with the same brand taillight
Will They Fit Jetta 2016 TSI ?
I’m not sure exactly. I do remember there was 1 version it says it didn’t work for
Where can I get a new taillight circuit bro?
I’m sorry but for that, I’m not sure. Maybe a local auto parts store
Why is your JETTA badge on the wrong side of your trunk?
Are you from the US? When I lived in Germany almost all of the German cars had the trunk badges on the opposite side from the US cars
Where you by your stuff ?
I got them on amazon. I have links in the description that’ll take you right to them on Amazon
Anyone know does the fog work? Is there a fog in them, mine doesn’t seem to have
When I lived in Germany it’s was mandatory so I bet they used the same housings but saved the money and didn’t fully hook that up in the US models
I got the same rear lights but the connectors on my car are different (r20?) With the red tab. Probably because its EU spec. Now I'm stuck trying to find the right adapter for the plugs which I can't find anywhere 😢
I didn’t realize they had different connectors for different specs
@@MTParadise do you happen to know the name or number of the connector used in the video? That might help me find an adapter
@@sandervandeven1999 I’m sorry I don’t and I no longer have this car
Ive got a 2015 tsi would they fit without an issue?
It looks like they changed the body style a little so I’m not sure. The listing for the lights says 2011-2014 but I’m not sure if maybe they kept the shape of the lights the same
