How long BARs I need, 94 or less due to Edge additional length? How big gap is possible? ... Why it is much easier to find this info for another BAR brands?
Hi, upgraded car from bmw 3 series to 5 series touring. Can I use the 186007 kit from the 3 series on the new 5 series? Both flush rails and I cannot see any difference - trying to reduce waste and cost. Thanks
Unfortunately, BMW has redesigned the railing for the 5 series so the Kit you have does not fit. Please use our guide on thule.com to find the correct parts for your new car. Since the 5 series is much wider than the 3 series you might also need a new bar length also.

The Thule Flush Rail Evo foot pack is 7.2cm high up until the bar underside. The Thule Flush Rail Edge foot pack is 5.4 cm high including the bar so the edge versions bar comes much closer to the roof.
Hi. I have a question that need urgent reply (I am going on holiday on the 17th of August and need a roof bar). I have a grand C4 Picasso 2015 with Flush rails (not raised). But it looks a lilittle bit different than the one you are showing. How can I explain is all in one piece smooth so would the clamp fit?On the internal part of each rails there is an horizontal hole to fix the other side of the clamp. I went to my local Halford and the guy told me that he is not sure it will fit even it you state it will. HELP!

The height between bar and roof depends on the bar design, height of flush railing and the specific kit for your car so it is hard to give you a number there. We never recommend opening sunroofs with a roof rack installed unless the sunroof goes in under the roof of the car like it does on Subaru Forester.

Yes they are metal so they can take the weight of the cargo and be safe to use. The clamps have a special paint that is rubberized to prevent scratching. So if you clean the railing and maintain as recommended in the manual it wont scratch the railing.
What's the mount kit number of the one in the video? I need a fit kit that works with my flush mounts! My flush mounts are similar than the ones in the video! Does any one knows the part number?

@therawandcooked definitely you know the way. I struggled thinking it should easily slide into the rail….finally gave up and used a flat head to get that plastic piece into the rail
Nope - no codswhallop here (whatever that is). Simply stand the cross bar vertically, insert the bracket into the rail and with both thumbs, (a thumb on each side of the retention nodule), press very firmly down on each side of the nodule at the same time and bend the plastic as you force bracket downward - the nodule will duck under the edge enough to push the bracket in and make the nodule click into its hole. (At 1:28 in the video, the nodule is actually pressed (but with invisble thumbs) just as the rack is slid fully into the cross bar). Easy peasy.

How high above the roof is the crossbar? Can sunroofs open?

For Some reason, there was no metal lock with a key in the package I bought, just cheap plastic locks that fit poorly…
Same thing with mine. For how much it costs it should have the keys...
Where is the paper I can write down my key number?

Slick video but completely missed the difficult bits of putting the brackets onto the rail. Simply sliding it into place - codswhallop!
