If they build the PHEV model i would buy one tomorrow . I have been driving chevy volts since 2012. I have owned 3 of them, a 12 14 and 17 PHEV is the way to go. Torque, power and no range anxiety.
Well let's hope that their transmissions with a torque converter problem it's better than their previous model I have a 2017 Chevy Colorado with torque converter problems as hope that their new models are better than their previous one or

The world is moving on with muscle engines. I like the V6 and V8, but I have to adapt or else.
I own a 2018 Canyon with the diesel, I love it. But I understand the diesel is no longer available in this truck.
When I decide to get another truck, I'll want a diesel again, even if I have to change brands.
Toyota sells 10 times more Tacomas than GMC sells Canyons.
