    I had a house on Norborough Road and lived next door to a west Indian family and had many Asian friends. Loved my time in Tinsley, pre Meadow hall.

    Me grandad who passed away last September, from Tinsley, me dads from tinsley,
    He use to live on Ferrars road till about 2012
    He did it all mining, tinsley wire
    Miss him but life moves on

    we lived on ferras road when i was a kid in the early 70s can remember the pike and heron pub and knights shop also the british oxygen company you could see it from our back garden there was a little brook flowing at the bottom of garden

    I go to school in Brinsworth right next to tinsley and the people from tinsley in brinny are like 95 percent Pakistani its actually wild how many asians are in the area

    Very well said. I'm 35 now and only have fond memories of living in Tinsley. It will always be home for me.

    I saw tinsley cooling towers for 5 years from 2003 to 2008. Then Ot was Gone I saw it from the side of meadowhall car park. Keep in mind I was 9 years old.

    some years later tinsley powerstation got rebuilt & a biomass now sits in the old ones place

      It’s still Britain mate, it’s what happens when people move out and families move in. Have every right too since they help rebuild the country after the wars.
